Well okay, just a CONCEPT... BEEN THERE DISCUSSED THAT, the forum for the dead horse threads! This could contain: Scammer threads Pro Dom threads Whiny shit from the whiners who we know who they are but I can't use their names due to TOS Punishment threads Sub/slave definition threads Wanker threads What I hate about CM threads etc!!! Yeah, I know the whining of those who got moved to this area would be epic, but yanno? I am digging the idea. Which I semi-ripped off from a friend, who said it in her out loud voice. Who's with me?

Add to that any thread that gets shut down permanently. Such as, for when Mods have to close it (i.e. locked). That way, the thread and any actual info on it gets to remain. I tend to think people get away with being an asshat far too often because threads get wiped out of existence. If someone chooses to metaphorically show their ass, let it remain in their posting history. In My opinion, the only time an entire thread should be wiped out is if it is offensive or against TOS in the original.

Well you KNEW that, right? I hates a mess!! Locked threads don't disappear---taptaptap was out there in the archives for all to read! [:)] That's one of the joys of this place, that most things are just OUT there to be enjoyed, year after year. [&o]

I like the idea of coralling those oft beaten, dead horse threads into a nice organized stable! Though some OP's might end up there so often they could conceivably claim squatter rights.

(as it were, I know that's against the TOS) Think of it as congregation, not segregation!! Isn't it nice that Politics and Religion isn't in Off Topic anymore?

From what I've seen, a good majority of the threads that get pulled, they didn't start bad. It's the mess that gets made in the following pages of replies that is the problem. Not intentionally to change the subject of the original (which is a good idea, btw) but the pulled threads remove the ability to refer back to a thread to show what someone might be talking about when dealing with another poster. I'd like to have that ability. For example, on another thread, you had put in [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] (note the five). It would be really nice if we could direct folks to a common reference like that if we wanted to. (Is that thread even still up?)

FR That's a wonderful idea. It'd keep all those brain-dead threads from clogging up Random Stupidity and making the games hard to find.
