ORIGINAL: angelikaJ PA, I appreciate your caring about me, hunky. I do read everything. The risk of really bad things happening is really small. For me, the risk of bad things happening if I get the flu is greater than normal. That is the only reason I would get the flu shot. I will weigh the risk of bad stuff to bad stuff and discuss it with my doctor, who I have had for 8 years. Then you are further ahead then many- who do not. I thought long and hard and did alot of reading on the hep vax series of 3 shots. In the end- I did get that vax. So- I am not automatically against vaxs. I beleive in actively participating in my medical treatment. Even if I think I know- I will look up the meds. My DR is pretty cool with that. He has a very good bedside manner. When I have steroids injected into my back- they did way too many. 32 of them. This does not count the cortisone and carpal tunnel injections. So- from that point on- I was more careful.
