QSM I realise I oversimplified. I was answering hunk after all. But they are REALLY good steaks. As for excess, look at how most Western families and especially teenagers live. Those learned habits will be passed to their kids etc. It's going to get worse before it gets better, if ever.

I'm "playing the interest rate." As it goes up the rate decreases making it "less attractive" so I sell and wait till the interest rate comes back up as it goes down and get more shares. Nice gig, eh? It's approaching it's "highs" now so I sold it two weeks ago at $11.42 2,317 shares and I'll wait for a bit till it comes down again.

American Administrations dating back to the Cold War assert the need and right to station troops on 1,000 military bases around the world, simply to enforce our will and interests. Imagine if Russia were to install a military base in Cuba...oh, wait, never mind. America HAS in fact become what we fought against- a global Empire, not very much different than Britain under Victoria.

Rex, I don't understand why Bush and now Obama haven't asked the congress for a declaration of war on al qeada. It would simplify a lot of things and we wouldn't have to worry about GTMO or torture. The best way to fight groups like al qeada is not with Army Divisions that just become targets but with spies, assasins, drones, booby traps, mines, chemical and biological warfare, subterfuge, poisoning their water supplies, make it so they can't trust anyone, things like that. And make it "constant" no rest no sleep. You want the CIA and,....."others" involved in it with the military playing a much lesser "support" role such as artillary fire or cruise missiles from ships thousands of miles away or cluster bombs from aircraft when the opportunity presents itself. If the congress declared war then the CIA could be unleashed to do basically anything they want and they have a formidable bag of tricks to reach into. There shouldn't be any "rules" hobbling them in eradicating al qeada. This isn't a popularity contest or dog and pony show to show who's more "civilized" in war. We're using the wrong methods to go after al qeada, "restricted warfare" just won't get the job done in this case.

And imperialist actions, not words? The United States' imperial actions of the 1880s and 1890s are well documented. But how could it be any other way?.....a large nation with a commercial outlook doesn't set up shop in someone else's country? Anything less is pretty much unheard of.

IN recent years- the federal reserve has born into the world- trillions of green pieces of paper that- society claims is as good as gold. A fat finger creates or destroys fortunes- day in- and day out. Can you imagine- if our great grandparents- were here today to see the disconnect? That green paper is gold? That these notes- the fat finger makes more of- bonuses for goldman- but- as to real PMS- how does a fat finger manage the markets? I do not want interest on my money. What I do want- IS MY MONEY! Not the interest on it. I want the principle- not the crumbs that drop on the floor.
