Lots of good advice being thrown here.
I just wanna add a few things.
There are no rules in This Thing That We Do. What works for one doesn't for another. That doesn't make either one right or wrong, it just means that they are different and seek different things. This means that you have the freedom to find whatever it is you desire and the capacity to make your fantasies reality.
You don't have to bend, you don't have to compromise. What you, almost assuredly, will have to do is seek the needle within the haystack, that one (or two, or ten, whatever your kink is) with whom you click. In the meantime, take it easy. Don't rush. Use the same common sense in looking for a bound relationship that you would use in any other relationship on line. Let things happen organically. It's my experience that when the right one comes along, things click and instead of everything being processed, actions are natural and things flow.
That's how you know it's right.
