Okay folks, let's see where we're really at here in terms of world-view.

Who or what is primarily to blame for our underlying socio-economic problems?

DCWoody -> RE: Cast Your Vote: (8/8/2010 3:47:48 PM)

Other: Oversimplification.

Greed.. simple.. has nothing to do with being elite, poor, republican or democrat... its all about greed.

cpK69 -> RE: Cast Your Vote: (8/8/2010 3:55:10 PM)

It all starts with a thought; pride and ego, creating greed.

And what is greed predicated upon?

DCWoody -> RE: Cast Your Vote: (8/8/2010 3:59:25 PM)

While a joke, it's also accurate.

THELADY -> RE: Cast Your Vote: (8/8/2010 6:52:48 PM)

I agree it is over simplfied.
more exact would be to say progressive elite (dems and rep.)

the progressive's divide and distroy. they use every dirty tool in the kit. in the end (they foolishly believe) they will be able to control the indiviual groups.

they rewrite history, they hold down groups while promsing pubically to take care of them. they convince the 'down troden group' that they are victims of the opposing group or leaders and they(THE ELITE) are the only thing standing between them and the foe. thus using promises of protection and a piece of someone else's pie. not promises of a hand up, but a hand-out.

an example would be black americans. pres. wilson (a progressive democrat) more or less had blacks left out of the history books.
how many people know there were free black men working right along side the founding fathers and members of the first congress?
dems led the jim crow laws and segration. republicans fought the laws (MLK was a republican ) and led the way to disolve them. the whole time progressives are telling the black population that it is the republicans trying to hold them down, victumise them.

economically the progressives tell the masses its not fair, they, the masses, deserve ever thing the rich man has. a house a car ect,(even thought the rich man worked hand scrimped and built) so the progressives create fanny mae/mac. the progressives take over the home loans(they now control near 50% of the home loans). they take over the car industry, banks, health care....oil? Obama adm. want's the ability to control the internet (only in case of an emergency. of course)

bush is a progressive... as is mccain (neither progressive enough for the far left.) bush signed the patriot act
( congress wrote and approved it, so it was not just bush)...it had a sunset clause..but..this congress and Obama just made it permenante.

progressives

Americans grow more stupid every year, the historical parallels to this era is the "robber baron" era, and the "caste system" of India.  The rich want all the money, and for the most part could care less about "the help". That is what we are "the help".

YAY!

Since it is the other half's fault for WW1, I am glad to see that it is someone else to blame for this current crises.

Is there a single cause, no.  Do I think that all Americans are some sort of decadent fools, no.

I think that we do have a high standard of living.

So, what are you really asking?
