I was wondering how people would feel,
if the GOP were to let go of the Bush Tax cuts?
Would that make a big difference to you or not?

I doubt there's anybody on the forum who's making enough to even notice, to be honest.
The Republicans just make a point of marching in lockstep on this one because they all hope they'll be rich someday, which is a bit like taking out a mortgage based on expecting to win the lottery on Friday, isn't it?

Uhhhh , yes, it started when he won the Dem nomination and my clients recognized the economic damage he would do, so almost exactly 2 years ago. And that is the Dems responsible for the "failed" economy (your words not mine), starting with Clinton, and continued by Frank and Dodd.

The drop during the Bush adminstration took place during Democrat control of Congress. Clinton's contribution was the repeal of Glass-Steagall. Frank and Dodds contribution was hiding and refusing to do anything about Fannie and Freddie despite Bush's attempts to do so. The housing bubble and bad paper lies directly at their feet. There is simply no contrary argument other than playing ostrich.

Finance and politics, unfortunately are inextricably intertwined, and I make perfect sense on both. You may not agree on the political parts, but at least you don't hide behind semantics and ad hominen on the financial.

Those tax cuts are going to cost 600 billion a year.

That money will be tagged onto our already huge debt.

In essence,we`re going to borrow 600 Billion from the Chinese to give rich people more money.

And b/c of those cuts,the debt from that money borrowed from China to give to rich people, will fall on the middle class and their children.

How the fuck cons support this idiocy is still a mystery.

The cuts have also proven to be failures at job creation,which was how they were sold to America.

Uhhhhh both. to what extent depends on their relative power at the time.

Presidents party controls both houses=President >
both houses controlled by opposition party=Congress >
split Congress=could be either depending on whether the issue is spending or taxes and the party of the President
