Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow is likely to be the champion of the unemployed when the Senate comes back into session. Stabenow announced the bill last week. Senator Stabenow has been the first to introduce a stand alone 5th tier extension bill.

S.3706 "Americans Want to Work Act"

Rep Berkley and McDermott also introduced a 5th tier bill within the last week.

Thanks Jen.

I`d much rather borrow 1 or 2 billion a year from the Chinese to fund unemployment till we`re back to normal than borrow 600 million a year from the Chinese to fund tax cuts for rich people.

I'd rather stop sending money to needless and pointless wars and private companies profiting from the misery and suffering of others being paid by our government. I think it's high fuckin time to start seeing tax money being spent on the tax payers instead of special interests groups.

Then again, this does come back to what we've seen repeatedly here: the rich get money from our government and the middle class can sit and rot. I think it's about fuckin time to start voting for some new folks to represent us and our interests in the government.

One of these days I'll run for office or something. I should start campaigning now.
