Yes, here in America, we have a group of people, we blame, for all sorts of crap (whether they had anything to do with it or not): Illegal Immigrants.

They cause huge amount of problems, (if you believe the conservatives in our country) all of them carry drugs on their backs, with membership cards to terrorist organizations, and do nothing, but be a burdern on society.

Yes, enter FACTS and TRUTH, and you'll find, things REALLY arent what they seem in either case. Judging by welfare in the USA, one would ask, "What keeps the dishonest, from collecting"? That would be good laws, and people to enforce, said laws. Unfortunately, the people who are most angry about welfare in either the USA, or the UK, often have the narrowest point of view on the issue. It seems a belief, that the majority of those on Unemployment (here in the USA), are just 'lazy', 'stupid', 'un-American', and 'whimpy' citizens. Even though, that is pretty far from the truth. The facts, do not even support this belief.

Yes, a small percentage of Americans, may in fact, be using Unemployment, even though they could access a job with ease. But the vast majority, are not. It would stand to reason, that, over across 'the pond', the same is true for welfare. There is a small percentage that abuse the system for gain. While the larger percentage, actually, do, have legitimate and honest reasons for being on welfare. And if they could be off welfare, due to their issue suddenly disappearing, I believe, they would in a heart beat.

But, this arguement from the news source, is just a cheap attack, on those who cant defend themselves. Then again, the source (per pahunkboy), looks to be a cheap tabloid. So, it bares worth understanding the source of information is more likely not correct nor accurate.

Is this the paper with the tits?

Oops, never mind, I see it is!

And after reading the article, I noticed it was a supreme example of finding the most outrageous examples possible, and implying they are the standard.

Is this a big problem, or is this class warfare?

We may never know.

Actually we do know. Yes it is a massive problem. People claiming disabilty benefit and being caught playing football or digging their gardens. Teenage girls that are pregnant being "kicked" out of their parents home so that they can be housed in flats paid for by benefits. People refusing to work as they would only earn the same as their benefit payment so why bother work!

Yes it is a huge problem.

These people sound like burgeoning capitalists. Just think, soon they'll be as huge a problem as wall street or central London. They are quick learners. Yes it is class warfare and the upper class continues to kick ass.

Think about it kinkroids, the writing is on the wall. The people you describe have gamed the system so let's say they are...too poor to fail. They learned from the capitalist who gamed the system and became...too big (rich) to fail.

The emperor of so-called free-market capitalism [sic]...has no clothes. But we all know it's much better for society to let these folks go homeless so we get this complaint even after more tax-payer money was committed by taxpayers of western civilization in these bailouts then in the...entire history...of all assistance to the poor where both are gaming the system.

I love capitalist spin...it's getting so obvious.

with UK having tons more red tape then the US- it would seem like class warfare.

They sure are not going to part with a penny before it is time.

Pahunk, you could be right on that, and that based on the premise that Britain particularly England has always had a fascination about class, and it was originally the reason the pseudo science of eugenics came into being, an attempt to understand if class was genetic. On the subject of eugenics and what it lead to, that was other countries that used the theory for their own prejudices, but England it was always about class, and probably still is today despite what we are told.
