Mistress, This slave has served several Masters and mistress's over a span of thirty years, all as live in. Each offered their own particular style and she has been extremely fortunate in that each was perfect for her for where she was spiritually and emotionally. She is now 54 years old and has a new Mistress she is going to. She is wondering what happens to slaves as they become crones? Has this Mistress come across elder slaves? Are we slaves so hopelessly addicted to serving others, like Mother Teresa that we end up becoming nuns working for The Sisters of Charity? This slave is certainly not ready to go there yet but it has crossed her mind more than once in the last couple of years. Thank You Mistress, slave rachel

I think it depends on the people you meet and whether or not you are good matches. Online I have strict age limits I follow but offline, if I got to know someone in our local community age wouldn't be such an issue (though at least 18 regardless). Online I have to ways to sort through large numbers of people; offline I can just get to know people as people.

With absolutely no insult intended, I'm curious why you don't settle down with one Master or Mistress. I understand that many times people go their seperate ways for different reasons, but when I take a sub, I'm very rarely thinking about how I'm going to do things once he/she is gone. I guess for me it's just kind of assumed that I want to keep them around until we're all old and gray together.

Proprietrix, Absolutely no insult taken, lol To answer your wondering, my first Master and "sister" died in an auto accident in London, my second (Mistress) decided to give up the lifestyle and move to Hawaii and get married (and she did just that), my next Master suddenly decided pimping me would make him money, with little regard for my safety or welfare, up till then things had been fine, but i left anyway. Does life make it's own choices for us or do we consciously or unconsciously make the choices that we need to grow or self destruct? i think all my experiences have been lessons and mostly very fulfilling, i have no regrets and have always done the best i can in any situation without apology

*slave rachel,* Those who you have served have been truly blessed. Once I collar a submissive or slave, I intend to keep him/her until death parts us. However, just as in the vanilla world, things do happen to part a M/s couple, as you have found out. *This very topic has been going through my mind recently as well. You are only a few years older than I but I have wondered what it is going to be like when I am much older.* I think we make the best choices we can in any given circumstance. There were plans to have housing available for guests, large rooms for seminars and many other amenities. Dear MsRachelxxx; I prefer elder slaves (they don't run away as fast as the young'ns-teases/winks). There are several slaves that are in their late 60's and early 70s that are still serving. However, Masters/Mistresses do not force these elder slaves to do kneeling or other things that puts their physical health, mental and emotional health in risk. Serving is about quality and not quantity. Being one to fancy the Imperial side of things, a butler for a slave would please me greatly. I know my age is starting to effect me. With old Masters and slaves, there is indeed a need for the Master/Mistress-slave community to do much like retired actor's home--give some haven to them and perhaps have them give lectures, presentations and teach at academies before they pass on. The torch needs to be past to the next guardians of what can be; before it becomes what use to be. Respectfully submitted, Lady Hugs

Principle Querent: i can offer you this.. while i do have a minor age limit (meaning the least age i'd accept a potential.. ie..no one under 33.. typically i prefer at least 10 years older than me.. same with Dom male partners i choose..). that's due primarily to the stage in life that older submissives/slave or male Dominants/Bulls have reached... be they sub female or not so this is not a gender based response. older submissives/slaves can fathom the TRUE interaction of this lifestyle.. they're WAY more service oriented. .. true.. i do happen upon males whom are younger yet STILL embody the qualities i expect in a male submissive/slave and i will evaluate them on a case by case basis if they impress me in some other way.. i do accept older males. even though i don't accept female slaves.. i do feel i could offer you a introspective view. my oldest slave was 63. and i was 27.. honestly, i had never had a male as old as he (he was a submissive with some masochistic and slave tendancies).. he never hid his age from me but he smacked of the sincerity that i appreciate from day ONE. i made a conscious decision to accept him into my fetish stable to train him personally. i had never had a submissive as old as he.. and he was american which was rare. but he had a sincere rubber fetish and felt that he would never enjoy his fetish in the company of a dominant that shared it... i wanted to sorta give him an intial thrill AND also show him that SOME dommes do appreciate sincere submission & devotion regardless of age.. i made a great choce.. we have had an amazing rubber time together for the last two years.. the only thing i worry about is his chastity.. he is one of the only ones i do not require to remain in full chastiy (once past a certain age prostate emptying is a MAJOR concern for older males).. and he previously had prostate cancer. .. see i am flexible.. but i knew he was true to me none the less which is what i typically employ chastity for. that didnt hold me back. when we went out in public we did get numerous stares.. people did question why i was with him or vice versa.. also suspension and heavy phsyical use.. every now and then i break the rules for an exceptional male and he would fit into that. an older submissive is NOT disqualified.. yeah.. they may have to kiss a few more female or male frogs (depending on what they seek-male or female submissive).. but continue they should continue the search. i felt that i wouldn't ever have a slave of that age range. i do have a minimum- i've never specified and max. yet we just meshed. when it's all said and done, someone will accept an older slave because they have experience. i'm living proof that SOME dommes don't age discrimiate.. yet, once again, with being said- i haven't the time to induct a novice.. i want to get to it soon. i DO have an age min (minimum age and experience).. i don't have a max,, i just have to be more careful with we do. There are actually more and more retirement villages being designed for a variety of persons with alternative lifestyles. Here in Santa Fe the first one for gay/lez "elders" is an amazing place and accomplishment. Hopefully more and more will be planned in the future and really from a developers standpoint all they need to be made aware of is a large segment of alternative people of the baby boomer generation approaching retirement who have money to spend. http://www.rainbowvisionprop.com/

It's really all about sincerity of commitment on the bdsm side and health on the physical side, isn't it? For many Dommes, including lucky's owner, the interest is in D/s relationships, not D/s play. Relationships can be forever, and lucky is happy to have seem some of that in bdsm.

Those who have undergone useful training have it right - the correct protocols, the correct attitudes and useful skills I require from a sub. You're never too "old" to serve.

If a slave is only on a temporary service once they move on, they move on regardless of age. There are more ageing slaves now then in any other generation of practicing concensul slaves. Its the Owners responcibility to tend to its posession untill it is no longer Owned. JMO I am the Owner of a retired wheelchair bound medically needy male slave in his 70s who still rules My roost from His chair and keeps in line My other slaves. Of course My other slaves tend to his needs as well per My command.
