And how worried are you about that? Did you lose sleep over it? Did your appetite go away? Did your doctor ask why you were getting sick worrying about something happening across the ocean? Did he give you any good drugs for that?

Aren't you the guy who fired people who voted for Obama?  (Really, I can't remember if you did, or if you just advocated it and defended it as being the owner's right.)

If we wiped out non-discrimination laws tomorrow, would you hire qualified minority candidates, or would you just consider that up to the owner's discretion?

I'd be perfectly happy to do away with non-discrimination laws, as soon as I didn't see the reports about people sent out with identical resumes or financial histories, only to see the minority not get an interview, or the vacant apartment.  To say that the only racists are Democratics and the NAACP seems naive at best.

BTW, if Republicans were race-blind, why the southern strategy?  Why the inner city "welfare queen" stereotype (the typical welfare recipient is white, rural, and has a birth rate only slightly higher than the non-welfare community)?  Why are there no black Republicans in Congress?  Why is the Tea Party overwhelmingly white?  (I'm talking 99% white.)  If Republicans are race-blind and welcoming to minorities, why are there so few?

I do think the Democratic party institutions take minority report for granted, and according to David Kuo, the Republicans lost a real chance to gather in a lot of black members through the Faith Based Initiatives.  Church members said that it was the first time they felt listened to.  Unfortunately, Bush kept promising money that was immediately reduced or eliminated outright as part of the budget process.

Got news for you folks. The democratic party is the party of racists, since they use race as a crutch. The only true way to eliminate racism is to forget about race, and view every legal citizen as an American. Even the NAACP is racist since they only lobby for legislation that primarily benefits them. The black Caucus in Congress is also racist, since they won't allow white members.

This is why republicans at one time were trying to eliminate affirmative action, but soon realized the racist wouldn't allow it.

Not worth a letter from the mods. I'll let your post speak for itself.

And yes Thorn, it was truckin who fired the guys for voting for obama. I avoid cuckys posts so I can't say if he agreed with it or not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Whoops.  Sorry about that, cuck.

as an aside...I've actually met people who said that no one had the right to tell a company who they couldn't hire.  He didn't have a problem with that happening to his wife and daughter.

Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.  Never thought I'd meet someone who'd rather have me sitting at home collecting welfare or unemployment checks.

Read them all, Bill:

John McCain -- 61 Flip-Flops and Counting | Election 2008 | AlterNet

McCain argues that flip-flops are an example of a political leader who can't be trusted -- so he might as well drop out of the race.

Democrats changed for the better, Republicans the worse.

democrats opposed repeal of slavery
democrats started the KKK

MLK was a republican.

A black gal in Atl. called a radio show  last week and told how she realized the dems encouraged and always reminded her she was African American.  republicans reminded her she was American. She started a tea party group to help spread the word that Americans need to stick together and protect this great country of ours.

when that senator, what ever his name was, the oldest one in congress, the one that had to have oxygen and a wheel chair to get around,  died just recently, bill clinton  spoke at his funeral and said the guy was a KKK member but he only did it cos that was the only way her could get elected. BULL SHIT, the man recruited for the KKK, was as raciest as they came, but we are expected to excuse that, after all he was a democrat and only republicans are raciest.

Too bad he couldn't have continued his fight for REASON over demagoguery in Congress. But it took losing his primary and the election to come out publicly about the racism and bigotry within the Tea Party Movement. Here's a conservative who learned his lesson from the time he was a firebrand of extremism to one of reason. There is no valid reason why liberals and conservatives couldn't collaborate together for the good of the nation. They've done this for years following the inception of the Constitution but stopped when Obama became president.

Two quick points first Arlen SPECTER is out he lost his primary to Joe Sestak, second SPECTOR is Phil, the record producer in jail for homicide.

Politically,

Edited for spelling

TY for the spelling correction pogo.

2 quick points on Specter:

While Specter did , indeed, lose the Dem. primary he is still a sitting Senator. And will be until the winner of this Nov. primary is sworn in.

My point to Brain was that McCain is not the only older Senator who has  " run again anyway at his age ". And certainly not the oldest sitting Senator. And Specter did run again at his age, he just lost.

              mbmbn

I was trying to not be an ass bout the spelling like I was in the other thread (re: Jim Demint) about this guy.  In that one, being a bit caustic seemed necessary to me, as the poster was from Demint's home state.  I know you're not from PA so I hopefully was a bit less of a jerk.  Bunning seems to me from hearing him on a Phillies game the other night to be in the early stages of either senile dementia, or Alzheimer's.  He needs to retire.  The rest you mentioned probably need to be examined closely also, regarding their age and mental acuity.

Apologetically,
Some Knucklehead in NJ

The parties have changed positions several times over the years. They try to claim Lincoln as a republican. He's no more a member of today's GOP than a Kennedy would be.

I've spent 40 years trying to work with o'dumbo's party. The time for that is long over. They don't compromise. As long as we have free, open elections and not ballot stuffing and voting by illegals, there will be a new hope and change for America come november. Don't like it? Hey, do what the leftists and illegals do here in Phoenix. March. Get out and bang trash cans. Hilarious to see!

Well, sure.  Bob Bennet got kicked out as being too liberal.

And the fact that working with the opposition party is considered a cardinal sin... get ready for gridlock and posturing.  We get to pay these clowns hundreds of thousands a year apiece to blame the other party.

Hmm, there is a very real clarity to that comment. Thank you, DS, for having selected those precise words.

the polition who said all that was conspated from the sour grapes of losing. gotta have some excuse, can't blame himself!

to clarify what I said eariler....
I by no means believe all democrats are raciests or all republicans are not.

I think the elite ruling class may all be raciests on both sides.....raciests aginst all classes below them.

have u heard of the virgin who had been married a year when she sued for a divorced?
she told the judge that every night for a year her husband came to bed telling her how great it was going to be, but the minute he laid down he fell asleep. He was a typical democrat, full of great promises, but a total failure on the carry thru.

I think democrat elite is also great at playing the victium card.....the white man held u down, the rich man held u down, the ______ held u back.... giving people an excuse to blame others for their failures.

I did not know the guy about whom this thread was started, but from comments about him, sounds like a progressive republican....(.a dem. in rep. clothes.)

Happy monday!
