See now I thought attacking someone was against TOS.

Your obviously not aware that your words betray your mind.

The part from TOS that I believe you are thinking of is here:

Unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, invasive of another's privacy or right to publicity, or harmful to minors in any way, shape, or form;

Then there is this other part, which is under the FAQ guidelines:
Etiquette

Please remain respectful of other points of view and ask questions that are pertinent. Please refrain from posting inflammatory or accusatory remarks about individual users, specific groups of people, or types of fetishes. Each of us is unique and sweeping generalizations will only result in a very negative thread. We are here to have intelligent discussions regarding a variety of interests. Please try to word your question in a way that shows you are interested in promoting discussion instead of trolling for attention.

Which, is a bit ironic, in this particular case.

Very much so, though probably not in the way you may be interpreting it.  Unless you would like to debate the point of whether it is permissible to form an opinion of someone based on the data they present.  For example, no where does it say that I can't think someone is a complete moron for the way they present themselves.  As long as I don't write it in that way, there's nothing against it.

See now..You've made my point exactly.

Think it..Fine..say it...not so fine.. Yet you do and so do most. So what's up with the irony?

I made Mine as well.  In fact, I even did a few searches to back up My claim.

To date, in over 13,000 posts, I have not called anyone an idiot, a moron, or any other such term.  I have called exactly one person an asshole.  (It was an inside joke where everyone on a particular thread was using the term for the person who promised to cook breakfast at a gathering and every person on the thread was in on the joke.)

While I have absolutely made comments such as "there certainly are stupid questions and without a doubt there are stupid people", I have absolutely refrained from saying "Mr X is stupid".  That's the difference between a personal attack and innuendo.  The former is not permitted, but considering this lovely exchange that we are having, the second one is obviously effective.

From what I see, the OP is doing what he planned...to get everyone turn on each other while he is grinning, looking at the trouble that he is causing.

Instead of continuing this farce, just stopping the bickering and let the mods take care of this sitation(?).

I bet you did. If this is true and I doubt it is, you have still eluded to it. Other than where TOS is concerned it's just about as bad.

That's kinda what I was saying on another thread..You have a way of looking down on others but just barely skirting the rules. Harassing is harassing no matter the pretty words you try and hide it in.

I'd personally whole lot rather have someone be direct than be what I would consider cowardly.

The difference I see is I'm fully capable of walking away from this type of behavior because it's not part of my personality. I do it for a reason and am aware I'm doing it.

I'm not sure many of you would do it easily or at all because it's so ingrained in who you are that you can't see it. Even so I know it is possible, just not likely.

Night.

Nah.  Icarys and I do this all of the time.  From My side, it's for the comedy value.

Even you wouldn't accuse Me of making statements that were intentionally false.  Please feel free to check the three terms that I identified.  You'll find exactly three entries for each.  With the exception of "asshole" (which I already admitted), you'll find the only reason that they come up linked to My name is because the word was used when I quoted someone else in writing My reply.

There's something of a stretch.  I don't think that looking down on someone could meet the standard to harass anybody.

Yes, but as you have so eloquently stated, that very much would be against TOS.  You know how I am about rules.

Finally!  We have something in common.  I know exactly why I do it as well.

It doesn't bother me if you think less of me or what I stand for, LP. Most of you are transparent with your words and your intentions despite the depths of which you believe yourselves to run. You have one of the best masks out there LP..I'll give you that. Although if I were able to spend a little time with you it surely wouldn't last for very long.

Animals are wonderful!  They will love through darn near anything, unless they have been treated poorly.

If we should ever get to the points in one of these little debates where I have an idea of what you stand for, we may find other things to agree on.  Sadly, I can't say I know enough about that subject to make a contribution.

Though referring in the plural does make Me wonder how many of Me there really are, I can assure you that I have no issue when conveying My thoughts.  Be that people, topics, or situations.  The only difference is, if I don't like someone/something, in real life, I don't have to adhere to TOS.

This subject has been debated over and over and over again... i cannot believe it STILL generates so much heat!

Here is the thing... I think it is petty to attack someone's posts on the basis of the fact they cannot spell. Message boards, by their very nature seem to self select for literate people who can communicate a thought or two in writing. This does not mean that people who do not spell well, have learning disabilities, cannot value from forums and message boards... they can.

I am lazy sometimes, this, in my opinion, is not some sort of Shakespearean play I am writing here. I misspell, I leave out words sometimes. I don't care if people judge me for it. I have enough validation in the real 3D world that I do not need it here when it comes to how I write.

I find that if someone does not communicate very well I automatically skip their posts. There are several people who post on this board that may spell well, and have a grasp of the English language, but they have very little clue of how to write in an interesting manner. They go on and on and on with pages of text. I am sure these are the sorts of people who take the long way around when they tell a story in the real world... boring their listeners out of their minds. I find these posts more annoying than people who have issues with spelling. It seems as though it is the same people who communicate with long winded missives that have a lot of trouble with someone who misspells a lot. I find this rather amusing, just because you know how to spell words does not mean you should string so many together constantly....

On the other hand, the people who get ridiculed the most for their spelling are usually clueless douchebags anyways, so it is hard to feel sorry for them. There are plenty of people here that spell poorly that never get attacked.

Don't play stupid. You know I was speaking in general terms "you" as in people on the forum.

If after 2700 posts on this board and you still haven't figured out what I'm about..Other peoples issues should be the least of your worries. I believe you might have a comprehension problem.

My pups love me because I make sure they know I love them. Everyday as much as I have time for..Which winds of being a good bit. I'm a proud dad.

Hey....compassion and understanding up till the last lines.
So it's okay to trounce those that you think are douchebags? I just want to know if that's the consensus on the boards? I'm cool with it if so.
