She did nothing wrong.

Rep. Maxine Waters speaks out on ethics charges

It featured a PowerPoint presentation led by her chief of staff, who is also her grandson, to rebut the charges. When it concluded, the words: "No Benefit, No Improper Action, No Failure to Disclose, No One Influenced: No Case" flashed on the screen.

Greetings Brain....

Just a simple thing to point out where you and they have a problem. If you attempt to commit a crime and fail to do so, you have still committed a crime. For example, if you attempt to bribe someone and they don't take the bribe you can still be convicted of bribery, specifically attempted bribery. No, to my knowledge she was not trying to bribe someone....that was just an example. Don't try that. <grins>

The attempt, if there was one, to improperly influence someone or some agency is against the rules. It doesn't matter whether the attempt worked or not.

Be well....

Malkinius

*Pretends I'm a certain right-wing poster who claims to be "sane" and attempts to derail*

There should be an ethics investigation about GWB and Cheney awarding no-bid war contracts to Halliburton.

Very true, and MW has some real problems.

I used to teach handgun safety classes that also taught the role of handguns in self-defense.
I usually commented to my classes that charges of attempted murder, with their reduced sentences, were all too often a reward for poor marksmanship, which just doesn't seem right to me
