Limit 10 per customer.

this is very exciting for me, since I missed the last great pattern sale, and I actually have some simplicity patterns I want to stock up on, and as you may know simplicity patterns run about 16 dollars a piece.

Oh, Toppingfrmbottom, thank you for the lovely memories of afternoons spent at the fabric store with mother, poring over the huge catalogs and their lush offerings, from dresses to costumes. The smell of the books, with their tabs showing the different categories, walking about the aisles simply overwhelmed by the luxury and wealth of gorgeous fabrics and the possibility in their smoothly folded bolts, the big t-shaped pins holding it all together, the button and lace and needle collections.... and perhaps best of all, displays of finished projects on mannequins. Mother was an excellent seamstress. She sewed the dearest little matching outfits first for my brother-and-sister twins, with bloomers or smocked dresses for sister, and matching overalls for brother. Later, she outdid herself with overalls with matching embroidered or appliqueed animals or monograms for my little boys. My favorite things ever that she made were a pink crepe dress that fit absolutely perfect, with little buckles on the bodice, which she somehow managed to cover with the crepe fabric, too. It was enchanting. And I still have the flowered dress she made me when I was 16, with puffed sleeves and ruffles on the hems and pockets and a bow in the back. I hang it on the wall as a decoration, along with the darling white eyelet dress with sprigs of pink flowers on it and pink satin ribbons that my seven year old sister wore as her flower girl dress. What wonderful memories a simple Simplicity pattern sale can evoke. Thank you.

You're welcome subwaythru.

I miss read the buttricks sale as Mccals, and for a moment I got all excited, because there's at least 13 Mccalls patterns I I wanted, and when I realized it was buttricks not mccals I was like DAMN! But I am still glad to see the sale, because someone will get use of it, even if it's not me.

I will be saving my moolah, for the Simplicity patterns hehehe.

I think Butterick is inferior to McCall's and Simplicity; it sounds like you do too. Mother hated Butterick, and she refused point blank to even deal with Vogue. She said their patterns wandered off into a sort of blank zone where you were supposed to take over and make it up as you went along, or even more hilariously, gave you instructions to do things that were either impossible due to the simple law of physics or told you to do 3 different things in 5 different places, none of which had anything to do with the previous instructions or the project at hand, or the universe as we know it. Mother and I tried for over a year to figure out the pattern for that sweet little flower girl dress, which was a sort of Rubik's cube on paper. Finally we found the most practical use for it, since it had been way to expensive to just throw away. We framed the precious photo on the pattern package, which I still have, and then we went and bought a Simplicity pattern to actually make a real dress.
