And what did we go there for? WMD? Nooo...there were never any there, so how do you secure what there isn't there to secure? Control of what...another country? Granted it is expensive. War is. The war has greatly contributed to our trillion dollar deficit, and just what did we accomplish for the Iraqi's? Do we just keep on warring til we fight all our resources away? At one time, back in 2001, I too thought war and getting back and having retribution for the twin towers...a physical war...was the way to go. But that was not a war with Iraq, that was a war with the terrorists, who we decided all lived in Afghanistan. That was before I realized the people there think differently than we do, they live as poor nations, terrorized by the very people who terrorized us. The terrorists do not live only in Afghanistan and the lack of gov't gives no salvation to those people held mercy by those terrorists. It just leaves them opened for other countries to come in and.....what....control them? Are we controlling the terrorists this way, too? Or would strategic intelligence be a better solution...a better way to war? (and far less cheaper imo)
