quote:
ORIGINAL: behavingbadly i think you don't need to get paid for something you truly love, unless you have no other occupation and enjoy taking people's money. Even if you were independently wealthy you may LIKE to get paid for doing something you love. There could be internal motives for wanting that.... A person wouldn't NEED to be paid, but they may want to. As to your original question, it could mean many things if they call themselves Goddess, and it could change depending on the context. My first slave began to refer to me as "Goddess" as a form of endearment akin to Mistress or Beloved... Etc. I've never required that someone address me in a specific way, but I do give that term of endearment as an option, after forming a committed relationship with them. It's sweet. It's silly. It's harmless. (To us.) And on a personal note: After some time... I really liked Goddess more than Mistress because of the connotation of the other meaning of mistress: a married man's lover. So in the end, if my charm (and dare I suggest beauty) does arouse adoration in someone, so be it!
