to buy certain bits and pieces which might not be neccessary as such and drives Sir A mad....and seriously, if I would ever be his slave I have to hide them well, as I am reasonably sure he might force me to sell them again

It's going to sound cliche as hell but my entire life gives me joy.

The good stuff is easy to appreciate, but finding a way to find joy in the bad stuff, that has been a challenge. My joy is that I've survived it and become a better and stronger person for it. I know I will continue to survive whatever shit gets tossed my way, and either overcome, or find a way to work with, all of it.

I've learned to look for the moments. I don't always remember to do so, but it is a strong current running through my life. Whether it's laughing at the antics of some random child in a car I pass on the freeway, a gorgeous sunset, or the scent of cinnamon raisin bread toasting in the morning, (three things from the last 12 hours), my ability to acknowledge and enjoy them, gives me joy.

The perfect for me cup of coffee makes me happy, hearing my hellion laugh, having the day be a lovely 80 degrees instead of the 110 degree weather we've been having, my job, my guy, my family...Life in general is joyous and happy and wonderful right now! I wish I could bottle it and pass it out

Joy comes from so many things in my world. The vocal music of Melody Gardot, good jazz music with awesome saxophone in the background, hearing my Things say "I love you, Mom," hearing my Dad say "I'm proud you're my daughter," seeing a smile that is meant only for me, being at peace with who I am, a full tank of gas, the color lime green, a full tube of mascara, an unexpected message telling me I'm being thought of, a clean desk at work, the smell of fresh linens, my cat snuggling next to me at night, good report cards for the Things, and the sound of the ocean while walking along the beach.

What LaT said.  The Cats.  My job.  Knowing I have a vacation in place for early next year,. Knowing my Mom is in an awesome new house.

Knowing that I am making the right decisions for myself.

It was really sweet. She said, "It's a little ghetto-fabulous because it doesn't look as nice as yours do. But I shared my cheese crackers with you, too."

She just kills me.

Right now...coffee and breakfast, having half my work for the day done so I can draw zombie portraits later, thinking about B, and knowing everything else will work out.
