Like lets say you have 1,800, is there a limit how far back on the user posts a search will go?

I know that EVERYTHING is back there, because I looked up stuff from the sig I had before Hib.

If you use both criteria (author and content) you can find any post that has not been deleted by the Moderators. I was able to go back to My introduction thread and prior. (I had posted on the boards before making a formal introduction.) I tend to remember things that are said on threads that have been removed. There has been a time or two that I wanted to quote Myself in regard to a specific individual, but couldn't due to the thread being yanked. My memory is pretty long about the things that people post.

My memory is very long too. Yet I cannot for the life of me tell you what Icarys stands for aside from the obvious things.

I've tried looking at people to get a good sense of who they were. Not saying who, so don't try. Eh-knee-weigh, if you just use the person's name, you can only go back the last 300, which can be a little frustrating if ones posts aren't terribly illuminating. If you have something specific in the topic line, you can find stuff that people have said prior to that. I have found some of my own writings that way. Jeff

thornhappy, I did, but it only went back 15 pages, back to stuff like 2 months ago. But I see I probably did it wrong, as LadyPact said if you do it a certain way it'll go all the way back. quote: ORIGINAL: thornhappy Give it a try and see what the last page says.
