I participated in it once, we got tossed out of a shoe store and escorted out the mall by security.  Which was more humiliating for me the act or being escorted out of the mall by security?  I would never ever do it again.  It doesn't respect others, it isn't a controlled environment (I still remember people's reaction it was down right nasty by some.)  What if children are around?  It is like when someone forces religion down your throat.  I was young then, I know better now.

That has to be one of my biggest fears, is anything in public i'm a very private person. If it is a domme I trust and she wanted to try something then as a sub I am open to exploring different things with my domme, I trust her.

Now if it's something as simple as having a coffee tossed in my face for adding sweet and low instead of sugar, then that just feels like abuse imo.

Humiliation needn't be overtly sexual in nature. I recall once seeing a man standing outside a store in the mall with his wife's purse dangling around his neck as he patiently waited for her. Many might easily call that public humiliation. Yet, there was nothing about it that anyone would have a problem with their ten year old child witnessing. There are many public ways that a slave can be allowed to demonstrate his/her humility other than overtly sexual "scenes" that expose the public to sexual kink.

Public humiliation can mean different things to different people. If a sub/slave is a shy and private person, as this sub is, even an intimate touch within the confines of the car parked in the public garage can be humiliating. However, unless someone happens to walk directly by the car at exactly the right time, this seems like a harmless form of "public humiliation" to me. On the other hand, as several posters have said, if a Dom found it necessary to involve others in our kink, period, much less in a way that would humiliate me, then no, thank you.

I personally don't think it's right to impose my kink on random passersby. Master and I occasionally do publically humiliating things that are known to only us, we are very discreet (such as me having a small dildo inserted in me when we go for a walk, a blowjob in the car at night in a quiet place, and once I gave him a fully-clothed lapdance in a nightclub while he had a drink in a quiet corner of the place). But for us, doing something overtly obvious for all to see would be very tasteless and inappropriate. It's not even kink-related. I wouldn't want to see a vanilla couple with their paws all over each other in public either.
