I want a light pink leather corset, or maybe a salmon color an it's gonna have hello kitties on it with a nice lavender bow. But I just dunno, if those color schemes would look good on me.

I don't think pink would clash with your skin tone, but I do worry that if you wear a corset- you might smother.

Seriously though, if you are worried about pink not working, you could get a solid colored corset that is trimmed in pink.

Just a thought, next time your at the store see if you can find a cheap pink shirt of some type.  Wear it around a bit to see how you look under a few different light sources and get a few opinions.  That should give you a pretty good idea and then you can decide.

You seem to have a peaches and cream type complexion so you would probably look good in either pink or salmon. Just be careful that the color isn't too much the color of your skin.

Winsome, I had a good chuckle about the smothering part in real life. I've worn a corset before, and while these boobs of mine are quite big,  I am fortunate enough that they won't go high enough to smother me* laughing some more.*

FLcouple, yeah today I was in Catherine's plus size store and I picked out two types of pink a rosier type pink and a pale almost white almost salmon pink, and the cashier there, she liked the color against me.

And I believe I have a pink shirt coming to me in the mail, and I do have a pale pink nighty I can wear outside in the sun, and have a friend judge that color on me in that light.

tropical, yeah and I have a natural bit of redness in the apples of my cheeks,  and when I get hot or embarrassed the apples of my cheeks an somewhat to a degree my whole face turns redder, so  some colors just look gawd awful against that.

I think it would look great!   You have dark hair, and your light skinned, so yes, I think it would be a very pretty color on you.

Hi sweetie,

There is a book from I think the mid 1980's that you can pick up at used book stores or thrift shops for a buck or two called "Color Me Beautiful." This book very clearly shows each person what colors exactly work for their skin coloring, and it really works. The book may be older, but the principles are sound and not based on fashion but on simple facts about your coloring which are easily understood. Once you understand these facts about your coloring and the way color works with your skin tone, you will be astonished by how easily you will shop for fabrics and accessories, with complete confidence, because you will suddenly look so "right" in the things you will begin to naturally gravitate to.

Everybody can wear almost every color, they just have to wear the right shade of that color. For example, some skin tones require the clearest of pinks, and would wash out and look like death warmed over if there was the slightest hint of peach in it. Others are warmed and just blossom with the peachiest pinks. I can tell from your picture that you would be absolutely lovely in the right shade of pink, but as I said, picking the right tone and shade is really important. The same goes for the lavender with which you are wanting to coordinate it. It really does make a difference. The person who wears the very clear pink will, of course, need a pure shade of lavender with it, while the salmony pink might call for a hint of smoke in the lavender. Even shades of white and cream make all the difference in bringing out each person's prettiest assets.

Anyway, just an idea! It really worked for me, I read the book in an evening and a lifetime of fretting over how to dress was solved and out of the way.
Have fun with your new corset!

Thank you! I'll look for it at the library, And I hope to have some new pictures of me in an existing corset and some new clothing that have just arrived, I'll post pictures as soon as I have them and let you know the moment they're up.
