This thread needs a theme song.

Jethro Tull just called and offered this one.

Singing all day. Sing about Nothing.

I was going to put that on my profile, but thought it was too erudite. [;)]

If you look at Lao Tzu's writings there is a lot of wisdom in his thinking. The English translation may be a little lacking and his writing style may have been a little bland but the wisdom is there.

I have no idea what he did in bed but that's an other matter.

We could devote the thread to preserving the memory of Queen Salote of Tonga

Musicmystery -> RE: A thread about nothing. (8/22/2010 9:14:45 AM)

But that would be something.

dcnovice -> RE: A thread about nothing. (8/22/2010 9:15:16 AM)

Good point, MM. Hadn't thought of that.

Empty your mind, DC...  then you will have it.  [;)]

In that spirit, I present a list of all acceptable seven letter Scrabble words formed by adding a single letter to the letters of "Salote".

+B - oblates
+C - lactose, locates, talcose
+D - solated
+E - oleates
+F - folates
+G - legatos, gelatos
+H - loathes
+I - isolate
+M - maltose
+N - tolanes
+P - apostle, pelotas
+S - solates
+V - solvate

dc, I used to play it quite seriously.  It's good for an occasional parlor trick.  I was at a party Friday and anagrammed some of the attendees' names:

Simona - aminos
Carol - carol and coral
Mr Suede - resumed
Lori - roil

Unfortunately, I couldn't come up with anything for the hostess, whose name was Dimmie.

I of course am "events".

Mr. Suede? In the parlor with the knife and Colonel Mustard?
