Boring submissive: Oh God, yes! What made it boring? A tiresome and tedious need to be on display and fishing for compliments at all turns (Should I wear my tight orange shorts for you? You can see everything. You'll love to tease me in the pool); an inability to understand any jokes or teasing; and, being too concerned with what some strangers across the way, who weren't even paying attention thought, to do one little silly thing in public. Not an illegal thing, not a sexual thing, just a silly thing. That was all roled into one submissive - and, yes, I know I spelled roled that way, and I did it on purpose. The clamoring for attention, demanding all of a Dom/Domme's time and energy, that's really boring. Just a selfish "subbie" with no conversation.

~FR~ One thing I've never been accused of is being boring. I'm a lot of things, but evidently not that. So far anyway. I'm thinking if I were boring I wouldn't last very long. I met a Dom Who was very boring and that didn't last long. Not long at all. haha Seriously, I think boring is very subjective and depends upon the one who is doing the judging. ~sweetsub~

What bores me is when I meet a person (FYI I only date abroad) but then the main aim from the guy is to spend the few hours we have together after his work during that 1-1.5 week meeting behind his laptop screen...then quite frankly, was never a need to meet in person in the first place when he can't be bothered to actually get to know each other better in that limited time which we have together on such an occasion.. The first guy i met in canada was awesome in that respect...gosh did we share a lot of stories and laughter, on one occation I ended up threwing up a bit thats how hard he made me laugh...we did really use that time to get to know each other on a personal level very well...which simply in my view ain't gonna happen when his main activity is to watch porn behind his laptop screen whilst I am there [8\|]

I've been accused of being a boring sub/slave/person/woman. I simply chalked it up to incompatibility and moved on.

Luckily for me, I realize the incompatability way before I feel the urge to call anyone boring. Saves feelings and all. The people I usually think of as boring are the same people I'd trust with my bank account usually. So it's not bad [;)] I have alot of 'boring' friends too, I keep them entertained, they keep me grounded, it all works out perfectly. Just not relationship-wise.

Did you think all subs are automatically entertaining? Your boredom may very well be your own fault . . . they're a sub not Shahrazad, find something to do with or to them that is entertaining.

I would have to say that a fair share of them are submissive. I've met one or two and communicated with quite a few on the other side.

For me it boils down to the difference between a sub and a slave. I find slaves boring - there is little challenge and little feedback. A half decent sub though will be a challenge - and that's interesting and part of the fun. There's no dominance or fun in dominating the easily dominated.

i get plenty of feedback from my slaves. and there is plenty of challenge in keeping creative, keeping relationship and slave on track. after 10 years, we are still exploring, learning and growing. there is no dominance without the submission

Absolutely. I met a woman once who wanted to be trained and had the body type I require so all that looked good. However, she didn't seem to be emotionally involved. No matter what was being done with or to her she was placid and admitted to never being turned on...by anyone. That is a burden way greater than any I wanted to shoulder.

i agree with those who say this is a compatibility issue more than anything else. everyone on earth will be intolerably boring to someone.

One persons boring is another persons perfect fit. Just be you. When it is right, you will know. Someone on here mentioned a while back that many are single because they got ruined by their first domly one. I am beginning to think that is true. It was so easy, so natural, that I am not willing to accept anything less. That could be boring and lazy to someone, but, if and when it does ever click again, its pure fucking magic. What was the question?

Usually it was just nothing that we had nothing in common and there was nothing about them that interested me. Valyraen has spoke with a few that he considered to be boring, usually commenting to me that there was just nothing to them. They simply mirrored and parroted anything he said so he didn't talk to them long. But that doesn't mean that everyone would find them boring or that they were truly boring people. Just as we aren't attracted, or attractive, physically to everyone the same holds true with being interesting or boring.

Master had a short relationship with one that he described "like owning an appliance, not like having a relationship". She showed no emotions, no reactions, had no opinions, and just kneeled until told to do something. She wouldn't speak unless spoken to and her answers were almost always one word or "whatever pleases you". His view is that if he asks you a question, it's because he wants an answer. He doesn't ask questions just to have his ego stroked. He hated that he'd be in sadist mode and she would just stand there showing no reaction or emotion.
