Its a simple question, many years ago i read an something that mentioned oral tanning though it never explained what it could be, its something that i remember from time to time, so can you please put me out of my misery, do you know what is meant by the term “oral tanning”?

My best guess would be 'tanning someones hide orally' - in other words - verbal humiliation/degradation/abuse

You got me curious too. A quick search on Google brought up mostly stuff like: Oral tanning pills containing carotenoid color additives cannot be marketed legally for cosmetic use in coloring the skin.

I think "verbal tanning" would be more what Thanatosian described. I've heard that expression used before as well and it means exactly what Thanatosian describes.
