Gotta love those simplier times. After explaining a bit about physics to a 7 yr old, and how the weight factor is what makes a teeter totter go up and down, we had a chuckle when after watching a news broadcast about the earth being off it's axis, he gave his solution. If everyone moved from one side of the planet to the other, would the distribution of weight pull the earth back on it's normal spin? I had images of a mad dash of people from the West to East...I dunno, maybe the kid has something, lol Lisa

Logic is funny that way, it reminds me much of John Malkovich on snl explaining Santa to children logically. Now, did you know... that it is estimated that Santa's sleigh weighs 353 thousand tons. So... traveling at 650 miles per second would create such an enormous friction, that Santa and his reindeers would burst into flame like a meteor entering the atmosphere.

My brother-in-law once decided that they needed to move to a "bigger" house. Not that they didn't already live in one. My then 3 yr old niece said "that's ok daddy, you move and mom and me will keep living here, we like this house, you can come visit anytime or we'll come see you". Bro-in-law shutup about buying a bigger house. I always did love that little bundle of wisdom. [;)]

I always had a plan that if everyone ran in place the world would stop.... ( thought of this when I was about 6 or 7 and still get teased)
