I have heard a lot of good things about the Breville toaster/convection oven. I am thinking about buying one. Here is a link.

My next kitchen gadget will probably be a George Foreman 360 grill
I currently have the slide temp grill, and love the thing. It makes paninis in about 3 minutes, and thick kabobs take about 9 minutes. I really want to try the 360, because the different plates will mean I can use it for pizza and cookies as well as quesadillas. [:D]

That reminds me, we have a george forman, and we never use it, we used it once it was his moms, it's ok, we should bust it out an use it more.

Just be sure to wipe it down with wet paper towels right after you use it. If you wait until it cools, cleanup is really a pain in the ass (ask me how I know this [8|]).

And how do you know this? [:D]

Smartass! [8D]
Oh, and I just ordered the 360. The sale price was excellent, $69.99 with the coupon code, and shipping wasn't horrid. Came out to pretty much the same amount as I have in my piggy bank [:D]

Let me know how you like it!

Steaming is easy to do. A pot, water in the bottom, a metal collander, and a lid is all you need. You probably already have the pot and lid. You just need to get the metal collander if you don't have one. I think it would be cheaper to get a toaster oven for baking and broiling.
And you can get most of the stuff to equip a kitchen, including colanders, at the Salvation Army or the like. CHEAP.

Fuck me, if somebody is too incompetent in the kitchen to steam broccoli, it's time to stop eating, and slough off this mortal coil.

The only benefit with buying off of their website is recipe cards.  They have a recipe card of the month club.  4.95 a month and after reading the reviews on amazon you cannot opt out.  With buying through amazon it doesn't matter there is no club.

You know, the library has, like, recipes for free. So does teh interwebs. Sucker.

I HAD a George Foreman grill and hated the thing. The teflon coating starting flaking and peeling within a few months. Besides the fact that I try to avoid using ANYthing with a teflon coating. The thing went into the garbage.

I got a cast iron stove top griddle that does the same thing but way better. It's easy to clean and will outlast me by generations.

You'd think hmm?  Well no actually the library does not have the cards.  These are portion controlled for the little grill.
Even 3 ingredient recipes for it.  Yes, you could develop your own and I have.  Although sometimes it is nice to have it easy.

So, where you been Hippie?  I haven't seen you around here in ages.  Of course, I'm here then gone I might have just missed you.

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Has any one ever tried or heard of the nuwave oven delux? (8/27/2010 3:36:32 PM)

Hippie, we don't have a kitchen. Which is why we like things like crock pots, and electric skillets, and things that you can cook with that don't require a kitchen, or a kitchen stove.

@sub4hire: Got booted off for quoting a Knoxville TN newspaper article on the rightard freak Unitarian Church killer which had the N-word in it. That was XI's doing.

@topping: one doesn't need a kitchen to steam broccoli.

Booted off but hey now you're back.

Top...I steam broccoli the easy way.  About a half an inch of water in a glass bowl...with the broccoli.  Put it in the microwave with saran wrap over it.

I've got a steamer but our kitchen is so small here I can't find it...

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Has any one ever tried or heard of the nuwave oven delux? (9/3/2010 9:15:59 PM)

That makes sense sub4hire.

My bf's grandparents has one and as far as they know, it works like it's supposed to but "it doesn't do a damn thing about taste." Lol!
