"I just recently received a message from Mystressworld stating I was referred to her by a local Domme. I have been corresponding with her and long story short they want you to join a site with lessons for Dommes/subs. After the lessons they pair you with a Domme and a connection is hopefully made. Does anyone know if this is a scam, or legitimate. Is there anyone here who has experienced it and what the results were? Eitherway, I think it would be beneficial to hear input for everyone's sake.. "

She just contacted me about two or three days ago, telling me the same thing.  The funny thing is she has also contacted me from another site where a Mistress on that site also recommended me.   What are the odds of that happening on two different sites?  Did you notice how the classes they teach on are like directly related to male sub fetishes and not really towards service?  She is good at her game but it is still transparent.

The odds are about zero ... unless the referring Domme was working for them ... and probably was.

Check the old threads ... someone asked this question a few years ago ... and one Domme fess'ed up ... about how she used to work for them ...

Just know ... your loss will be about $100 a month ... if you try to hook up ...

It costs about a hundred a month ... and they actually send you email ... back!

So I would describe it as ... an introductory site ... for those new and afraid ... as long as you are willing to cough up ... the fee.

But when it comes to scams ... these people are almost harmless.

What?  Fifty dollars a month - just for a bunch of emails?   Hell's bells, S02, that doesn't sound 'harmless' to me.

Are these emails at least tailored - totally - to the individual, or could they be just generic blather, applicable to any new submale, but with the name changed after the word 'Dear . . .'?

No prizes for guessing what I suspect.

Pfft.  Oh well, maybe a bunch of snotty-looking women wearing too much make-up and looking ever-so-regal whilst reclining elegantly on chaise-longues might work for some.  But, for me, jeez . . . how tawdry, dismal and downright depressing.  I'm so, so glad that I didn't come across their ridiculous little outfit too soon after joining CM.

Edited to add: right - $100 a month, not $50.  Double my point, then.

I wouldn't join her school even if she paid me $100 a month.  I should sell her on an on line PC school where she can learn how to copy and past text without double pasting it. One email she sent me had the same text pasted three times back to back.

You say a Mistress of hers confessed, I have to read this for a good smile tonight, going to find this thread.

Chuckles .... it would cover a lot of "last orders" ... wouldn't it?

The harmless comment was in comparison to a couple others I have encountered ...

Very serious stuff ... potentially ... money laundering ... tax evasion ... likely some anti terrorist violations too ... really bad implications!

Annnnnnnnnd.........................

They'll make a coin purse out of your scrotum!

It's a website.

It costs money to join.

Much like oh, say, a hundred thousand other sites.

Nothing is promised for that money beyond admittance to the site.

Put on your big boy pants and make a decision.

Worth your time and money?

Yes. Then ante up and keep your hands in the ride at all times.

No. Then ease on down, ease on down the ro' oadddddd.

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO ANY OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON!!!!

Will you please stop discouraging Peon from giving me the money back he borrowed for that important appointment (why the hell the building had a sign "Asian Massage Parlor" I don't know, he said it was an important meeting) - I'd really like my £50 back, especially since he was only in the building for about 2 minutes, and he had a big smile when he came out...

Poppycock.  Why would I want to spend £50 for two minutes in a brothel, when for the same money I could purchase a jumbo-sized pack of magazines depicting lots of pleasant looking ladies with delightful bottoms doing agreeable things with one another?

This one time offer to hand over your wallet will never be repeated. I think I've received that MystressWorld crap 3 or 4 times. Still there's the yahoo ones that want you to pay to join a website to chat with them on cam. Amazing that yahoo actually allows video chats, but that is overlooked.

Still the last scam was seeking paid airfare from London to Australia. Thought about stringing along the scam to see how they would try and get you to pay. Decided I didn't really want to waste my time.

Now why do I seem to notice a pattern that most of these scam websites are addressed to men? Aaaaaaaand that the men pay through the nose often times and then whine about it? And this Mystressworld website? I would have a problem with it in the first place since i read it as My Stress world". Who'da thunk Mistress was spelled with a "y"??

I especially love the little story on the first page where said submale signed over his bank account and credit card to his new "mystress" and just has no problem with it. Tooooooooo fukken funny. Reality has a funny way of becoming unreal.

Scams aren't just aimed at men-I sometimes get tribute scams-men who want my bank details so they can 'send me money'.

I just don't then start threads about it...

Hang on - this isn't the Nigerian scam, is it?  If it's not, and instead a scam involving a 'sub' who wants to 'pay you tribute' and needs your bank details in order to do so . . . well, that's a new scam on me.  Maybe you should start a thread on it!

Not Nigerians, and I've been getting them for the whole time I've had a domme account, so they aren't exactly new.

What would be the benefit in starting a thread? Any woman daft enough to hand out her bank details on the internet kind of deserves whatever follows, IMO.

'Nigerian' is just a generic term - used because so many of a certain type come from there.   It's the theme of a man who wants to get vast amounts of cash out of the country and needs a UK (insert name of Western country)  account in order to do so.

I know what 'Nigerian' means, and they aren't Nigerian scams as far as I know. I've never got past refusing to give them my bank details, so I don't know what happens after that if they *do* get them.

Fascinating.  It might be worth opening an account and keeping it completely empty in order to find out.
