That was cute ... and kudos to the operator for not just hanging up or being an asshat to the kid over it. However, I did wonder about all the emergency calls there were maybe not getting through. But still, a very cute posting.

OMG, when my oldest son was 4 years old, he called 9-1-1 because he got up in the middle of the night and couldn't wake me. He told the operator I was dead. EMTs, police and firemen came rapping upon my door (nobody EVER mistakes THAT kind of knocking!) and when I answered, they asked if anyone in the house was hurt. I told them no, but they said the call was made from inside the house. I turned around, saw the guilty look on my son's face and said, "Stick around, someone might need you!"
