RickandTina -> So whats with the Big D/ little s crap (4/21/2006 5:31:14 PM)

We are a a married couple with very defiant Master/Submissive personalities/roles. He is probably not what most people think of when they picture your typical online version of Master. This is because he is my partner first and foremost. My Master is a strong man emotionally but is not ashamed to be human. He deserves all the respect that I can lavish on him not because it is his due, but because he behaves and lives in a respectable and respecting manner. I am not what most people think of either, for the same reason.  But I am submissive, prefering to follow him and needing deeply to serve and please him. Yet I am not inferior to him and he wouldn't want me to be. I often feel that the entire idea of true submission is often skewed by reading too many Gorean novels (LOL) or by seriously low self esteem. I feel that to acquiesce to someone’s commands out of expectations of true punishment or because one believes that they are innately inferior, is nothing more than an illusion of submission and respect. To grant or give something with ones head held high in pride and love, that has the more honest ring of submission to me. Now this is obviously an opinion...and as the saying about opinions goes, we all have assholes, right? So please try not to get offended if my definition doesn’t rhyme with yours...I think diversity is a splendid thing. And no one answer is the RIGHT answer...all the time.

We are also owners of a small BDSM business and make the products that we sell. I personally grew this business from the ground up starting four years ago and am proud of myself for the accomplishment. If any of you might be interested in checking out our site please go to www.forbiddenexpressions.com. I predominantly do wholesale amounts of items for several larger retail vendors (a.k.a. Stockroom and ExtremeRestraints) but will occasionally do a single item order off of the site for individuals when I have a little extra time.
So, please forgive the shameless self advertisement....but there you have it....Rick and Tina

Self promotion is always welcome here and often seen here, so don't apologize and welcome.
