Q-tips are OK, as long as it's infrequent, that they're inserted less than an inch, and they've been soaked in sterile saline [like contact lens solution] or water-based lubricant like Astroglide beforehand. Don't worry: done as I've described, i.e., correctly, a Q-tip used to be a standard test for sexually transmitted diseases for decades before the urine tests were available. That being said, I much prefer a fine but strong metal sound [about half the size of a dry Q-tip tip]. I agree with drinking a lot of water, and seeing a doctor if you're not feeling better by tomorrow or if you're feeling worse. If she didn't insert it as above, you need to talk to her about it or leave. glad you asked rather than worry or not do anything about it. Take care, and play safely.
