Overall, IRAQ was better off before US war mongers decided to mess with it. Its one of the worst foreign policy mistakes the US has ever committed.

This was never about finding WMDs in Iraq, finding links between Al-Quaida and Saddam, or searching for terrorists. This was about mobilizing the War Machine in order to transfer tax money into outsourced hands. Mission Accomplished!

FR Just who put Saddam in power ? It was the US that supported him when Iran siezed our embassy. Thine enemy's enemy is thine friend, the US just wanted someone a bit friendlier. And if anyone can remember that far back, Iran had a reason - it was the US's support and protection of the deposed Shah, who was a butcher. The US government created this whole mess in the first place, and used our money. Now they are using our money to clean it up. Typical, and if you remember that far back, you know that this went on through the administions of both parties. The reason they chose the proper time for the invasion was Saddam's intention to switch to the Euro, which is not crazy, in fact I think that's exactly what he should've done in light of the US economy at the time. The big thing was that he had stashed a huge amount of cash, in USDs. He was pissed because his former benefactors had turned on him. So after switching to the Euro, he could've flooded the market, thus devaluating the USD. It was going to happen sooner or later, but because of those factors, the time was right. So now we have all of them pissed. Happy now ? T
