if i have even a cold he wants me well and healthy he will make sure i am warm in bed early and do very little. i was very ill recently and the first night of it he was up all night jsut holding me because of the pain i was in in the end it got to much he had to work but made sure somone could take me to the dr's first. i ended up in hospital and when i came out he made sure that i only did a small amount untill i got better. at no time would he shout, he would also make sure i saw a dr or have meds etc and only do the mimimum i was able to

It's my nature to always put my Daddy's needs ahead of my own. I have always put my own needs last in most of my important relationships. When I'm sick my Daddy has to get almost upset with me in-order for me to understand that what He needs from me is to take care of myself and get better. He will also take on some of the household duties till I'm better. It's hard for me to sit back while He does those things, however, it's harder on me when He becomes upset because I did not comply with His wishes.

Do what any sensible person does when they think they have bronchitis. Got to the doctor, get your prescription, rest, follow doc's orders. This has nothing to do with being a slave. I can't believe that being a slave means that you forget about your own well-being. Ultimately the only person you can depend on is yourself.

Heh, I like a lot of things written on this thread, but I'd say that Dame Calla's comment above pretty succinctly sums up my position. Doing anything other than getting well would be looked upon as disobedience (aside from downright stupidity) in my house.

well, i do apperciate everyones thoughts and concerns, i lived through the sore throat and no voice,
it cleared up, it may have been sleeping with a wet head in air conditioning,,
something i dont normally do, but did the night before i came down with what ever it was, it only lasted two days,
my original question wasnt actually aimed at me necessarrily,,
i was curious what the masses felt about the duties and stuff when a slave does become sick,
i contiued to maintain most of my stuff got some help with laundry from the eldest child.
i posted because i was curious and just wondered how things went.
i got my rest and am on my way back to NC in the morning to collect some of my stuff, and come home to Shujin and the family in VA

Like the others here, as a Domme, I see it as My responsibility to look after My sub/slave when unwell. A couple of years ago I was trying out a fem sub, and very early on in the relationship, she was suddenly told she urgently needed a hysterectomy. She had no one at home who could give her the necessary aftercare, and she was the stubborn sort who would do too much too soon, so I saw to it that she came to My place for the 6 week recovery period so I could monitor her activities. She found that very difficult to accept, and it probably ultimately led to her deciding she wasn't cut out to be a sub, but I have no regrets for she recovered from the operation well, despite some wound complications at the time. During that time, I did her laundry, cooked her food, helped her get around, drove her to the Dr several times, made her rest ... everything necessary! As far as I am concerned that's part of the deal, that's what helps the sub get well enough again to then serve Me. Though I admit I was pissed to learn that the very day she went home ... she mowed her lawns and then had to spend 2 days in bed recovering!! Some people don't have the brains they were born with at times.

Master looks after me when i am sick, at first it wasn't easy as i so wanted to do the things for Him but i know to accept it. Though it's hard not to sneakily do things again if He doesn't do them to my standard LOL!

So OP, I believe responsible Dominants such as the vast majority of those on the forums, realise that it is the good with the bad ... when the slave is unwell it's time to take over the jobs and take care of them till they are well again and it's the slave's job to accept that graciously and put their effort into getting well. Glad to hear you are better yourself. And as a biologist, I echo what everyone else said about not taking someone else's antibiotics!
