Peshtigo burned on the same day as Chicago. Oct 8 1871. The Peshitog fire was 5x deadlier than the Chicago fire, but was ignored by newspapers and history because who ever heard of Peshtigo?

Leave it to you Lam.........

It also sits squarely on the continental divide.....so that is everything; it won't come up again.

And you didn't know lefse out of hand.......you amaze me.  No grocery store in Minnesota would stay in business if it didn't have lefse for sale.

LOL,
Ron

OK, Veracruz is a major trading port on the eastern coast of Mexico and was one of the prime targets of pirates for centuries.

Edited to add: Veracruz also boasts the Veracruz harp, one of the most beautiful stringed instruments you'll ever hear.

I'll leave Lafayette, Lousiana, to someone else.
