Lvov is where Sacher-Masoch was born; I was thinking of that. (It was called Lemberg back then.) Charleston is famous for Fort Sumter, and also has to be one of the most astonishingly racist cities I have ever visited in the U.S. Next one...Tripoli

The first is Pierson B. Reading. He was one of the pioneers of the lumber industry in Shasta County. He began lumbering in 1843.
