Spam Filter is activated on my mail box, I can't send out any mail. Is this normal?

No, its not normal. Try writing tech support.

mnottertail -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 9:34:27 AM)

what do you mean you cant send out any mail? Use the support button at the very bottom of the page on your homepage (and I believe) in your mailbox.

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 9:36:13 AM)

Yes, it is normal, and is part of the new filter system for cmails. If you would like to write to support or Me directly, we will be happy to answer your questions.

So if someone doesn't like what I write they can put a Spam Alert on me for all my emails not just theirs.

I got a message this morning with that very message in red at the top.  I took the opportunity and reported the message as spam.  Who knows?  Maybe it's an improvement and it's keeping those who have been reported as sending any kind of spam tracked.  Have you sent any messages to anyone that could have been considered spam?  Say, sent a message to someone that could have seemed like a mass mailing or didn't show any link within the message that you hadn't read the person's profile?

I don't know if that's what it is, but wouldn't that be a neat little feature?

sirrandpolyfam -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 9:42:02 AM)

Because I have been having on going correspondence with many sub/slaves who don't find my emails spam.

You must have been typing your reply as I was typing Mine.  Can you direct Me to any explanation or write up that the site has for this?  I love it already and I'm curious as heck about it.

sirrandpolyfam -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 9:47:15 AM)

I'm sure some would think that what I send as an Introduction letter is spam and I don't have any problem being blocked by them but those who do not think so can not get may mail either.

And no I don't think it is a neat trick I think it is over reaching and stupid. Our Intro letters are designed to weed out the scammers yet we are being singled out as spammers, so the scammers win again.

This forum has vetted our letters many times and they have made suggestions which we have followed.

We have been on this site for 6 years. We met on this site and until now had a very positive experience but this is beyond the pale.

What you saw was in fact a mail that had been flagged as spam already.

To the OP, rather than grousing as to what you THINK was the cause of you getting flagged, might I suggest AGAIN you write support or myself? Thanks.

I have done both but I think that the community needs to know what is a danerous over reaching.

Obviously, you weren't singled out.  When I mentioned receiving an email this morning with that notice on the top, I was not implying that it was from you.  It was from another party that the guidelines of the forum will not permit Me to mention here.

Did you happen to send an 'introduction' to someone who clearly states in their profile that they are monogamous?  Maybe someone who said local, under thirty, or women only?  If you've contacted someone who clearly states in their profile that you are incompatible with them for some reason, one interpretation of that would be spam.  I can certainly see the spam report button used that way since one of the ways define spam as 'mail sent randomly'.

mnottertail -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 9:59:22 AM)

WTF?  Thank you for pudpounding your keyboard on the issue. Leaping out there in harms way, telling us that the sky is falling, I can go take a shit now, in perfect tranquility.

sirrandpolyfam -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 10:02:45 AM)

Lol I expect to much out of a free form website. I see complaints on here a lot about scammers and fakes. We didn't mind them because we sent such long and detailed letters that scammers and fakes would not continue with us.

We have trained a lot of slaves online and in person from here but before we invited them into our webcam or home we thoroughly vetted them. With this Spam Filter we will have to find a better way to get to know them.

SaintIntensity -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 10:03:58 AM)

I wonder if the "Spam" setting is triggered by recipient feedback, detected keywords or a monitoring of multiple identical emails???

I suspect if its the latter, the system would automatically put a block on anyone sending cut'n'paste emails in profusion and flag the mails sent accordingly

I - for one - welcome such innovations

sirrandpolyfam -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 10:06:31 AM)

It wasn't one but all my emails that I tried to answer were spam filtered. One would have been fine but when I couldn't write back to my friends who I have had on here for many years that was unacceptable.

myotherself -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 10:11:30 AM)

If I get a message from someone who does not fit my search criteria and has not read my profile, and which is so impersonal that it clearly appears to be designed to be a standard 'form letter', then I report it as spam.

I don't know if I'm the only one to receive it, or if hundreds have also received it. Spam is spam, regardless of how many people end up with it cluttering their inbox.

If that means the person sending it has a spam filter activated as a result, then so be it. It's a tough life, gotta deal with the breaks!

And Ron - I thought that you, like the Queen, didn't shit. You've destroyed all my illusions about you. I am bereft! [:(]

sirrandpolyfam -> RE: Spam Filter is activated on my mail box (9/1/2010 10:12:06 AM)

That very all encompassing control seems very wrong. I suspect that for all those who hate cut-n-paste emails there is about as many who welcome them. It cuts to the chase explains what is required to go forward and tells a lot about us as Dom/mes.

Those who do not like to read do not need to apply to us for training because we are writers and part of being our sub/slave is reading what we write.
