Diet also changes the taste; lots of fruits and veg make it a bit sweet and salty, whereas someone who eats lots of fast food or greasy meals can taste acrid and nasty, in my opinion.

I also wouldn't do more than talk and make sure we're comfortable interacting in person for a first meet...but that's just me [:)]

If he's a vegetarian like me, you're in luck, it might even be sweet-tasting.

On the other hand, I've *heard* that it may be salty or bitter tasting.

Good advice I've gotten from a female: Put some fruit-flavoured chapstick on your lips/inside of your lips and just lick that abit after swallowing.

Thanks everyone for your concerns on std's. That obviously is one on many things that we discused. I tried to keep the history of the question and the question short and sweet. I'm just afraid that this post will spin into a safe sex thread.

Depending on the man, there isnt that much you have to swallow. Most sources say about a teaspoon to a tablespoon. If you are not concered about the health risks (and im not making any judgements by saying that, im assuming you have already addressed them) then go with the flow, so to speak. If its not to your liking, then discuss it with him afterwards. Reality is, you will be the one tasting it. If its not to your liking, you wont want to repeat.

Worst case scenario, it is seawater and eggwhites combined, with that metallic "open" taste you can sometimes pick up on from Avocados eaten straight from the skin of the fruit. Pineapple juice and apple juice, drunk a minimum of thirty minutes beforehand, may help neutralize the acids to make it more palatable - tasteless, or even very slightly sweet.

If you *really* want to know? You're going to laugh, but go stick your head in one of the demo fireproof safes in Staples. As I understand, men get desensitized to the smell of their own sperm after awhile, but the inside of those safes always smell like cum. Dead serious about this, no idea why they smell that way, but they do.

Is there a good reason it shouldn't?  Have you got proof in writing that he's disease free or just his word on it?

To answer your other question, if he's a nice guy, he'll consider eating some pineapple and it will have a sweeter flavor for you.

I've been with a man who tasted like cashews, and I enjoyed it. I've also been with a man who had a vasectomy and there was something very different about his spunk compared to the men who were still 'fully loaded'. Poor diet definitely affects the taste, but the man who tasted like cashews basically lived off of Red Bull, Hot Pockets, and potato chips.

You have received much good information here. I don't swallow, don't care for it. The last time I did was as a very special present for someone very special to me. It will almost certainly never happen again, but that is just me. Many people male and female enjoy it. I concur with the individual who said to taste your own. That will at least give you a baseline. And as bliss4us09 stated, do not expect a milkshake, even a poorly made one. You not only need to deal with taste, but the consistency. Not my thing, but hopefully you will enjoy it. I really thought the tic tac suggestion was superb.

Do see the results of any tests, that is of utmost importance far more important than what it will taste like. If it tastes like honey but he has an STD does it really matter?

OP, I empathize with the nerves, but seriously, a lot of us all went through the "first cum swallowing" just fine. You'll live, it'll taste bizarre, and if you enjoy the sucking enough you'll start to be fine with the taste. But yes, tell him not to drink coffee or alcohol or eat red meat before shooting it in your mouth. It can make quite a difference.

And for the record, some of us like swallowing because it's a really intimate, submissive experience. The thing is, if you are bi you may well love it, but if you're not, you probably won't. Sexual attraction definitely plays into the intimacy part. Have fun!
