Way back in the day, I used to do a little stand-up. Yeah, go figure. I used to tell this story.
Anyway, this is a true story. I used to travel all the time for the better part of 10 years. A lot of the time I would fly, but sometimes I would drive.
There used to be a truck line that had a poster on the back promoting the Shriner's Hospitals. Now, I'm all for that, and helping children and whatnot. But the placement and the content of the sign was a little off.
The sign said (sorta in quadrants with a picture of a kid using a crutch in the middle) Expert Free Medial Care.
Is that expert-free sorta like caffiene-free or sugar-free? 'All the medical care you and your children can get without any of that unneccessary medical expertise.'
I used to tell that story a lot. Not saying I had anything to do with it, but a year or two later, they were still advertising for Shriner's Hospitals on the back of their trucks, but they had changed the wording on the poster.
