Thankfully I've only been involved with one guy who was a loud and animated cummer. What a complete turn-off. He'd make this noise that sounded like a combination of a grunt and a roar and he'd shake his fists while letting it out. He reminded me of a cartoon character trying to summon up super-powers or something. It was very difficult for me to keep a straight face. Thank god that was short-lived. I have no idea what I was thinking.

I am a big fan of the back-of-the-throat growl/grunt noise. There's something incredibly paleolithic (that's right, I said it) about it. For me, it has connotations of absolute masculine enjoyment, and a sort of gloating "hah! I just made you my whore" sense to it that I love. Now, men on the other end of the loudness spectrum who are "Oh god, ohmigod, yeah, yeah, yeahyeahyeah, oh shit I'm gonna.....URRRGGGH!" ....Not so much. Definitely one of those awkward moments between partners.
