Well I have now had my first piece of spam mail since I'd heard that the filters were going up three days ago. One junk mail in three days-that is a massive improvement for me. Not even hotmail's that good! [8D] Ladies, how are your inboxes doing? I don't want to speak too soon (except obviously I am speaking....) but I just wanted to say thanks to the CM administration for this upgrade-so far it looks pretty damned impressive. So thankyou [:)]

My inbox is doing just swell, I don't really get spam and I know when it is, they tell me asap to go to yahoo or something. They're also written as if the person learned english from action movies "I think you are a cool person and I would like to make sex with you"

I'm debating what one would call spam. I'll get an occasional email from saying that such-and-such website is where all the real kinky people need to be. This is obviously spam, but so occasional, meh. If you're talking about 'not real people' spam, again I don't get all that much. The last time I got one of those, I sent a reasonable 'Oh yes I'm interested' email back. Of course the fact that the sender was from London and I live in South Florida made it seem like a 'not real person' sender. But what has been odd about it is that the 'not real person' never even read my reply, much less asked me for money or somesuch. Then there are the 'I'm a woman so I get 100 wanker messages a day'. Well, being a man (although with a questionable avatar), I just don't get those. So I (a man) am wondering what all the hoo-haw is about. Jeff

I'm talking about mass-mailed memos - from individuals, from scammers, and as invites to other sites. Memos where the writer isn't talking to you specifically-they're cut-and-pasting a message to god knows how many people. I don't get 100 a day, but I did the maths a few days ago for Twoshoes and worked out that I get maybe 50-60 mass-mailed memos a week (ish). That's what the spam filter is targeting, I believe, and it seems to be working-I would normally have received somewhere around 25 mails since the filter went up, and I've had one. I'm calling that a win [:D]

It usually happens like that you give your mail or something out and then spam city, then again I haven't been here as long as you two have. So in that time something could have happened that got your name added to some list.

I've gotten two from possibly THE most retarded spammers on the web..firstly 1) hitting on an obese T-girl (no offense) 2) the poor bastards are hitting on "Bent".....I managed to keep it civil and reported and blocked. I just feel dirty not replying as I might..but my hand to GOD and with white fucking knuckles I DIDN'T be mean. (my case worker would be breaking out the fucking Champagne...bitch!)

Oh gods..hell yes! Being an over weight trans gender from a Baltic country keeps so many spammers away. I just rely on the very nature of my profile to keep the vast unwashed at bay..and when it doesn't there is block or my natural inclination to fucking shred arse clowns who can't get the motherfucking hint. Either way I'm covered.

I barely ever get any real spam or scam mail.....and I am a girl with naked photos on my profile.....worst I ever get is silly propositions from men who are real people but who have not discovered that I am already owned......what's all the hoo-haw about spam filters indeed?
