ORIGINAL: Politesub53 More bullshit, she blatantly made the claim that law enforcement officers had found beheaded bodies. Dont you ever check anything out ? Dont you? "Pima County's Dr. Eric Peters said some people might be confused when just skulls are sometimes found in the desert, but that's because of decomposition and animals that feed off bodies. He said it'd be clear if any one of those skulls had been severed from a body." Peters gave a radio interview yesterday and elaborated that a pair of skulls without bodies were found, but there were no signs of beheading. Im surprised you dont spend your time on short wave radio catching skips of our news broadcasts. So law enforcement officer Dr. Eric Peters is saying that law enforcement knew that there are no beheadings. Isn't it her job to, you know, actually TALK to law enforcement before claiming that law enforcement found beheaded bodies? Obviously, she not just failed to confirm such a piece of information. Since it obviously didn't even come from law enforcement, she must have made it up to begin with (or, even worse, relied on some Internet urban legend chain email as her primary source of information). And coming back to the original topic: the public speaking skills matter. For one, public speaking - and speaking to audiences of very intimidating people, including the President and world leaders - is a very large part of a politican's job. For another, the problem was that she clearly was unprepared. In the frigging opening statement! Stumbling response to a question, where she has to improvise, that's one thing. Stumbling where she had a fully prepared statement AND was in full control, that's quite another. She should have memorized that statement. The first thing they teach in you in Debate 101 is to prepare, prepare, prepare, and then prepare again. She obviously ignored that rule. That shows that she disrespects her constituents, that she is incapable of prioritizing what's important, or simply that she is lazy. So, yes, it matters. Of course it's only one factor that goes into the decision whom to vote for, but it is quite important.
