Did anyone else get the memo? (No, I don't think there was a memo.)

I just went into mail on the other side. Not to look at new mail, but for another reason.

It would seem as if any imbedded pictures are now displayed, in either the 'received' or the 'sent' side. So, if I've sent several people the same picture, basically the screen is filled with pictures of me. Ya know, right this second I'm not feeling that narcissistic.

I want the utilitarian view back. There doesn't seem to be any way to switch it off from what I've seen. And, like the litany of other users complaining about features, I didn't see a way to contact support.

Hey, Jeff, I'd like to answer you.

Do you think it might be browser related? (which would suck.) If you go through your usual portal (AOL), the above phenomenon occurs.

If you go through IE, you don't get it. So, maybe it depends on whether you wanna look at yourself or not you choose the browser that's right for you.

Ugh.

Ive just noticed this recently as well, but the only browser I use is IE,
so Im thinking it may be a constant now, and one of the many changes
the site administrators have been working on.

Edited to add....has anyone noticed a difference in thier post formatting?
Im constantly having to edit lately because it will skip spaces in my sentence.

Are we talking about ourselves in the third person now?

VC can also see primary photos all the time now in her inbox. Memos with additional photos are tagged with a paperclip.

VC is using chrome.

VC thinks this might be a good way of avoiding unwanted cockshots in the morning, and therefore tentatively welcomes the new feature.

I've been doing most or all of my posting in IE and keeping the CM side up under AOL.

That way I can more easily jump back and forth to catch the spam mails and the pervs from other men.

I haven't noticed any difference in posting formatting. All my posts are double spaced as usual for dramatic effect and snarkiness.

But I really want the pictures to go away.

To recap, on IE I still get 'just' the list of emails. There is the clip that I can expand the pictures if desired, just as hovering the mouse over the mail gives the text without actually opening it. I can live with that.

In AOL, it auto-magically expands the photos as part of the list. No ifs/ands/butts (cute or otherwise). So, the list gets exploded due to the embedding of the pic. That's the part I don't like.

They're nice enough to add a new feature and right out of the gate all you can do is bitch and whine about it and call it "all pictures all the time". Jeez .. grow up dude.
