<sigh>

As a proud yet sexual person I get the ...ahem ..urge, every now and again, when viewing a person's posts and profile who seems to press the right buttons to make my interest known...

How to approach that person...esp.with my wonderous troll repelling profile.

I do rather think I have screwed up again (and not in a way I might have liked) in making an approach via pm.

What are some of the ways my fellow CM inmates have used in their "approach" pm's to other inmates they fancied?

When I do seldom send a message to someone I maintain a respectful tone until something is established where I can be light hearted.

In your case I would make mention that your profile doesn't exhibit who you are as a person. Maybe change your profile to show what it is you're looking for, make it a tad more serious, if it brings eye rolling to all those looking then how serious do you think you can be taken?

So when I message someone in addition to remaining respectful I make sure to show that I have considered this for a while rather then message someone because their picture was good. Many times I like to show that I have I have read the profile no matter then length and some profiles out there are long. I read the journals, to gauge how they are as a person, how long they have been looking if they have anyone on the horizon they are truly interested in. When I have done all that I message them, greet them, introduce myself with my REAL name, that is something most people overlook, not many people are excited to start something with kinkylover92 but they can look forward to meeting Christopher.

Above all else show a desire to want to know the person, doms/dommes don't ever send messages that say "you're mine now" or something like that it's bull, subs don't give in to everyone who comes along. People are different so showing that you want to take the time to know them will greatly increase your chances of being talked to.

Lots of people don't even read the message until after they view the profile. Since your profile screams 'not interested' don't expect much in the way of a response, if any.

That's right. Everything you need to know right there. Why? How, you ask? Very simple. I have NEVER, as in NOT ONCE, sent an opening email to someone I wanted to open a dialogue with and achieved anything resembling positive results. Well, I take that back. Once recently, but she was a smoker.

That's okay, I've long since expected the rejection.

My most successful, albeit only, opening message to someone I was interestest in went ike this: "Hi, I see you are new to the area and hoping to make friends. Would you like to come over for coffee? I'm new to the area as well, and could use a friend too." Something like that. He came over for coffee that night, and pretty much most every night after for nearly a year.

You are so hot, sexy and funny. If they know you from the boards, I can't think why they wouldn't jump on the chance to get to know you.

If all else fails, send them a picture of your ass. You have the most divine ass of anyone I've ever seen.
