I have cut myself badly shaving as well and I'm talking on my legs. I realized I need to slow way down when I shave and I never use disposable razors anymore. And yes, extra careful with a new razor.

As far as shaving elsewhere, or anywhere for that matter, I am rather fond of taking a bath with a little baby oil. It softens things up and makes a clean shave a lot easier and less irritating.

I have been shaving since I was 16 years old (32 now). It always just felt cleaner to me. And I cannot stand when the hairs would catch on the edges of my panties and pull, it hurt! I got a bit lazy for a while about it, only trimming very short, but when Master claimed me, he insisted on clean shaven. So I am back to the usual for me.

Taking a hot bath and soaking for ten minutes or so before shaving, using hair conditioner and a fresh razor, and dabbing rubbing alcohol on my mound afterwards usually helps avoid the worst of the bumps and itching. My skin is very sensitive, so I cannot shave EVERY day, or it gets very red and irritated no matter what I do, but once every few days is do-able and keeps me smooth enough for Master's liking.

I actually like the look of a guy fully shaven, but as long as he trims enough to not make me breathe hair when I'm going down on him, I'm happy.

I have to agree with Ranja.
I personally don't like to be at all hairy and I don't like my partner being too hairy too but he wants to see a little trimmed hair down their and when I asked him why he simply said, 'because I don't like the pre-pubescent look'.
When men watch porn, the porn stars tend to be totally shaved. It has nothing to do with cleanliness but all to do with seeing everything up close and in detail. I love the feel of ME shaven, but I find it oh so obnoxious to do it every day and I hate stubble. Plus, I'm a bit sensitive and hair grows in like a million different directions so 1 shave session I've got to go over the same area thousands of millions of times - generally stopping when it hurts to just drag the razor across skin.

On men.. I like em like men. Women shave, men dont. Trimmed - ok. No hair? Ug. I looooooooove playing with the hair on his chest, running my fingers through it, pulling it gently.....Men are supposed to have hair.

I've always thought of removing the unwanted hair on me for life......... but my follow up thought is always "what if I get stuck in a snow storm/blizzard some where and end up wishing for that extra hair (warmth)".

Well..i previously used to just trim it up every now and again and make sure it was tamed and not crazy looking.  Now that i am collared, He requires me to shave everything but my eyebrows and my head.  Well, my lower arms were never mentioned but i do that on my own because it grows in dark brown and i feel that it makes me look like an ape when it grows in, so that goes too! 

For those of you who have been posting about having problems with rashes/bumps and cutting yourself.  i had all of those problems in the past when i had done it for the heck of it on my own but now that i have to do it i've found some ways to make things more "managable".  Go to Walmart (or anywhere else has them i'm sure) and buy the Venus Breeze.  it's a 2 in 1 razor with shave gel bars on it.  i used it for the first time yesterday, straight out of the box, and used it 'down there'.  The gel bars make everything much smoother 'sailing' and i did this blindly and didn't cut or knick myself at all.  i have found it is much easier to wet yourself with a wash cloth and then stand next to the sink and prop one foot up on the side of the shower or on the toilet and crouch down a little and it is much easier then trying it in the shower.  You can get to EVERYTHING that way.  Now, as for the bumps and rashes, i don't use any of the shave gel or anything as that is scented and i've found it makes me break out easier.  This shave gel stuff works wonders and you don't need any gel in a bottle or can or anything.  After i finish shaving and drying off i immediately go and rub cocoa butter all over everything i've shaved.  It makes it softer and much more manageable.  i do this every day after i've taken a shower and i've had maybe 1-2 bumps pop up in a few days but it used to be bumps all over the place and it hurt like crazy!

Not responding to anyone in particular here....

but this thread has depressed the HELL out of me.
My head is shaved but my entire body is covered by fur.  I can barely get to work on time as it is, and the thought of shaving every inch of my body to remove this hair is not even close to the realm of possibility. It would probably cost $500 to wax my entire pelt.

so I guess my take home lesson from this thread: I need to either find a woman who likes cubs or she'll need to be a hardcore shaving enthusiast. (Which actually sounds like tremendous fun, come to think of it....I've had a few parts shaven--just not all at once!)
