It can happen. I got a very stern lecture from a Dr recently, concerning this very subject. ( He was a very cool doc. :) ) He told me that even when someone knows what they're doing, the larynx is very fragile, and all it takes is for your sub to move the wrong way, just a little. There's also the danger of occluding the jugular vein and/ or carotid artery. Death can occur in as little as 10 seconds if these are blocked, especially in tandem. It takes only 4 lbs of pressure to occlude the jugular vein. That's about the strength of the force of gentle pressure around the throat. Does anyone have any suggestions concerning safer techniques with which they're familiar? Breath play can be fun, but I sure don't want to hurt or kill anybody.
