If I feel they are sincere. Somehow. I like a sense of humour, shows they might have something between their ears, other than ear wax. If they have been to local events. That is something real rather than saying they are experienced. I especially like it if they talk about something other than BDSM and sex. Almost none do. If there are no typos I think they actually cared enough to read over their profile. I like when they describe what and who they are looking for. If they want some slim and trim hardcore Domme then I know it's not me and I can move along to the next profile. Also where they are. I look at Canadian profiles where the options for listing location are limited. We can't search by province so I appreciate being able to see what town someone is near. I look for profiles which don't have a huge list of interests. They read like a grocery list. Then, when you actually talk to them they claim they aren't really interested in half the things on their list. Someone is confused and it's NOT me. ;)

I tend to look for profiles that are proofread, and spell checked and come across as belonging to a person who has managed to find balance between the kinky parts and the vanilla aspects of thier life. One that says " I have a good grip on reality" too! Ms. Eden

If I get an email that is well written and piques my interest in the writer I check the profile before I respond. I want to know more about them. I am looking to see if they have written the BDSM 101 profile, or if they have taken the time to write something personal and original. Personal and original wins. [;)]
