Since Poise is being silly and the song sooooooooo fits my pre-holiday mood-

"It was the blackest night
There was no moon in sight
You know the stars ain't shinin'
'Cause the sky's too tight
I heard the scarey wind
I seen some ugly trees
There was a werewolf honkin'
'Long the side of me

I'm mean, I'm bad, y'know I ain't no sissy
Got a big titty girly by the name of Chrissy
Talkin' about her 'n my bike 'n me . . .
'N this ride up the Mountain of Mystery.

I noticed even the crickets
Was actin' weird up here
So I figured I might
Just drink a little beer
I said, "Gimme summa that what yer suckin' on . . "
But there was no reply
'Cause she was gone . . .

"Where's those titties I like so well,
'n' my godam beer!"
Is what I started to yell, then I heard this noise
Like a crunchin' twig,
And up jumped the Devil, . .
He's about this big, . .

He had a red suit on
An' a widow's peak
An' then a pointed tail
Like a sulphur reek
Yes, it was him awright,
I swear I knowed it was
He had some human flesh
Stuck underneath his claws
You know, it looked to me
Like it was titty skin
I said, "You sonofabifch!"
'Cause I was mad at him.
Well he just got out the floss
And started cleanin' his fang
So I shot him with my shooter.
Said: BANG BANG BANG

The sucker just laughed 'n said, "Put it away . . .
You know, I ate her all up . . . now what you gonna say?"
YOU ATE MY CHRISSY?
"Yeah! titties 'n all!"
WHAT ABOUT THE BEER THEN?
"Were the cans this tall?"
EVEN HER BOOTS?
"Would I lie to you?"
SHIT, YOU MUSTA BEEN HUNGRY!
"Yes, this is true'.
'WELL DON'T THEY PAY Y'ALL GOOD FOR THE
STUFF THAT YOU DO?
"I can't complain when the checks come through . . ''
WELL I WANT MY CHRISSY, 'N I WANT MY BEER
SO YOU JUST BARF IT BACK UP NOW, DEVIL,
DO YOU HEAR!
"Blow it out your ass, motorcycle man! I am the Devil,
Do you understand?
Just what will you give me for your titties and beer?
I suppose you noticed this little contract here, . ''
YER GODDAM RIGHT, YOU SON-OF-A-WHORE,
THAT'S ABOUT THE ONLY REASON
I LEARNED WRITIN' FOR . . .
GIMME THAT PAPER ... BET YER ASS
I'LL SIGN . . . 'CAUSE I NEED A BEER, 'N IT'S TITTY-
SQUEEZIN' TIME!"

Silly? Hrmph! I'll have you know, I take my Ice Cream very seriously!

Consequences
Turned me hostile
I got so tied in
Made me docile

Then you applauded
When I was loving
Made me feel weak and
I start recovering

Now I feel silly
Selfish and dizzy
Now I got this feeling
That you'll forgive me

Cuddle Fuddle - Passion Pit

Have a safe and happy holiday!

"The brim of my hat hides the eye of a beast
I've the face of a sinner but the hands of a priest
Oh you'll never see my shade or hear the sound of my feet
While there's a moon over Bourbon Street.

She walks everyday through the streets of New Orleans
She's innocent and young from a family of means
I have stood many times outside her window at night
To struggle with my instinct in the pale moon light
How could I be this way when I pray to God above
I must love what I destroy and destroy the thing I love
Oh you'll never see my shade or hear the sound of my feet
While there's a moon over Bourbon Street"

I'm broke but I'm happy
I'm poor but I'm kind
I'm short but I'm healthy, yeah
I'm high but I'm grounded
I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost but I'm hopeful baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be fine fine fine
'cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five.

Hand In My Pocket- Alanis Morissette

"Yeah, I can see it now
The distant red neon shivered in the heat
I was feeling like a stranger in a strange land
You know where people play games with the night
God, it was too hot to sleep
I followed the sound of a jukebox coming from up the levee
All of a sudden I could hear somebody whistling
From right behind me
I turned around and she said "Why do you always end up down at Nick's Cafe?"
I said "I don't know, the wind just kind of pushed me this way.""

A little blues for breakfast, eh? Thank you!

The priest sat in the airport bar
He was wearing his father's tie
And his eyes looked into my eyes so far
Whenever the words ran dry
Behind the lash and the circles blue
He looked as only a priest can, thru
And his eyes said me and his eyes said you
And my eyes said, let us try

He said, "You wouldn't like it here
No it's no place you should share
The roof is ripped with hurricanes
And the room is always bare
I need the wind and I seek the cold"
He reached past the wine for my hand to hold
And he saw me young and he saw me old
And he saw me sitting there

Then he took his contradictions out
And he splashed them on my brow
So which words was I then to doubt
When choosing what to vow
Should I choose them all-should I make them mine
The sermons, the hymns and the valentines
And he asked for truth and he asked for time
And he asked for only now

The Priest - Joni Mitchell

"I said I think that we can stay here,
Cause I feel our time has come.
And we can walk down to the ocean,
And sit with the rising sun.
So unpack your bags this instant,
No more running from town to town
And now that we've arrive so safely,
Baby you can

Lay me down..."

I'M A MAN

Fuckin' A right, bitches...

I remember the Yardbirds version, and the orioginal by the Spencer Davis Group, and there was an intense disco version I heard once in a gay bar in ATL back in 76 or so (I was kinky before Biff and Muffy Trendoid discovered floggers, bitches) but I found myself singin' this outside Trader Joe's today with the top down and my freak flag flyin... got some big smiles from the soccer babies and some "gonna lock your ass up when Grover Norquist and Michelle Bachmann take over you hippie pinko" disapproving looks from the "steel pole up the ass" refucklinazi honky fucks... ratfucker bastards.

High up on you, you display,
Good traits, though few.
We've found, time alone will tell.
This disease keeps holding me down.

Try to run, when near sleep.
To imagine, us away.
He said come, fly around my hell,
And know this, you seem to be,
Too scared to run.

I wish I was a forest,
of trees that do not hide.
I wish I was a clearing,
no secrets left inside.
I wish I was a stranger,
who understands the sky.
I wish I was a starship,
when Saturn's flying by.

Never, say never.
