Maybe she's just a morning glory
Lost in a tangle of vine
Maybe she's just a morning glory
Lost in a tangle of vine

She blooms while the people sleep
Only the TRAVELERS SEE HER
To those who RISE with the noon day Sun
She is a closed mystery

Hehehehe-funny story re that last song.
John Phillips (Of Mama's and Papa's fame) wrote it in the middle of an all night tequila soaked marathon session partying with the Dead and Kris Kristofferson.
Phillips wrote it in five minutes, completely forgot about it's existence due to a mescal induced blackout...and didn't even know the tune existed until he began getting royalty checks in the mail months down the road :-)

Pardon the ancient history, and pardon the miming of the songs, though no worse than the modern video, but here be the good brother/sister team of Nino Tempo and April Stevens. My own brother and sister and I could only manage some excellent note for note Beatles renderings when the occasion arose, along with some odd Fleetwood Mac or Pink Floyd, but here is the real deal in family singing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk5xWLh2QN4&feature=related

There was no proper censorship in place at the time, so any 5-7 year old boy might have been exposed to the startling and mysterious spoken female voice in the middle of that song and in some manner affected, though no normal 5-7 year old paid attention to such things.

Ciao and good day.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbhbc1zt31E

And yes, if the opportunity arose of going back in time and changing things, I would definitely slay the 60s producers of 'teen' shows and movies on my way to Hitler and Stalin. The most embarrassing crap ever. I mean ever.
