Hey friends -- I'm back after being away from CM for a while. I've had to create a new profile as I can't seem to recall my old password, and I never got the email allowing me to recover or reset it -- maybe it went to an email account I don't use any more; it's been a while. My old profile was "pinnipedster."

Any case, here I am again. I'm a 49 year old male living in San Diego, submissive/bottom type who is interested in most aspects of BDSM play, most particularly the "B" part (there's not enough bondage around!), sometimes crossdresser, still hoping to meet Mistress Right eventually. :) Other than that, I read a lot, play games, dabble in political discussion from a moderate-liberal viewpoint, watch movies, hang out with friends when I can, eat a lot of ice cream (don't know what it is -- the last couple of yeas, seems I can't get enough of the stuff! Actually, it seems to be fading a little, which is probably just as well), listen to an odd variety of music, and try not to get *too* much crazier.

Pinniped means "feather-footed." It's the biological term for the class of animals that includes seals, sea lions, and walruses.

Why is it my nickname..? Um. I dunno. For some reason I just like the sound of the word. I've always liked marine mammals generally, and when I took marine biology classes in high school, several of the words just stuck with me as sounding interesting -- nematode, porifera, etc. When I got my first real internet account, I wanted something fairly anonymous and gender-neutral, so I picked "pinniped" (embarrassingly, the first time I did this I spelled it wrong). Since then I have used it as an alias fairly regularly, though frequently it's already been taken by the time I sign up. I seemed to recall that being the case here, hence the old profile under "pinnipedster." But now it seems to have been freed up.

I never said it made sense. Is making sense a requirement? :)
