Now what I find entirely frightening is the number of people who actually put real and actual weight on what (insert celebrity actor or musician here) thinks about (Insert political issue of choice here) as if it is equal to the opinions of scientists and engineers in that field.

Exactly!

As though, because someone is a celebrity they are somehow wiser and more 'in the know', than the average Joe. I've met a fair number of celebs........wiser is NOT a word that has ever come to mind as a descriptive.

There are a few I won't watch, but it's mostly due the their hypocrisy. For example, I can't stand Natalie Portman because of her anti second amendment stance, yet she started her career ans a girl assassin, and didn't mind using guns to make herself a star.

Using that logic we need racist actors for racist roles?.....gay actors for gay roles and so on and so forth.Do you understand what it is actors do?

Not overly familiar with most american actors political affiliations....and haven't heard of a lot of what's been mention ITT, but I have in the past noticed that big actors tend to make good republican politicians. I'm sure members of team A can have fun with that.

I've no idea where he's got the idea that Leon is a pro guns film from either, come to that. I don't get the impression that the object of the auteur was to make shooting people for a living look well cool.

Something very spiffy and clever about that phrase.

One must understand that Hollywood,like "the government" or "liberal New York" is a hard wired target for conservatives.It`s Pavlovian.

You can say anything you want about "them" to folks in the "heart land" and no one`s going to care.

"They`re" always at the ready to blame,...for anything or for any reason.The most convenient scapegoats a bloviator could ever want.

To cons,.....Hollywood is the symbol of everything wrong in America and Hollywood actors,not the con actors of course, but all the rest get the demonizing as well.

Be an activist and you get character assassinated by the rightest.They can compete equally so they resort this crybabay bullshit.
