I split up with a guy a couple of years ago because in our distance relationship, he wasn't making the effort to see me, or even communicate with me.
Several months later, we started talking again, and decided to give it another go. In the three months we were 'trying' to get together, he couldn't find time to see me, or even talk to me more than once or twice a week online. So it was all over.
Not long ago we started talking again, and he said all the right things, promised he understood the issues and would make the effort to stay in touch. We talked a few times on the phone (fitted around his family demands - he was a single dad) and online. He said he would come see me, then cancelled on the day. Said we'd talk soon. That was over 3 months ago. Silence.
I agree with previous poster - exes are exes for a reason.
But on the other hand, all the messing around from this guy made me reevaluate my wants and needs, and now I'm moving in the right direction towards someone who may well be the right person for me [:)]
