TheDevilsDues -> Hello to all. (9/17/2010 2:25:57 AM)

New here, new to the community, new to the lifestyle.

30 year old male Switch. Looking to make new friends and learn more about myself and the world of bdsm. I updated my profile and have a pretty clear mind in what I want and what I'm looking for.

I am excited to find such a extensive and broad site. I have dabbled with other sites but nothing compares to the comfort I feel with the people here and extensive amount of opportunity to learn.

Really I am still coming out of my shell when it comes to BDSM in general. I love to chat and meet new people, I have always desired to be a deviant, but I also have been shameful and shy about it up until recently. Getting bolder and braver as I get older :P.

I feel more at home here, not afraid to be open about who I am.

I also feel to say I consider myself a highly spiritual person, I hope to meet others that feel connected as well.

Hello and welcome. we were all new once so no worries there are some really good people on this site. I would reccomend (if you are wanting or wishing to go) to explore your local munches if you like the meet and greet. Othewise just web surf, read the forums and see what interests you.

TheDevilsDues -> RE: Hello to all. (9/17/2010 3:12:19 PM)

Yeah as I warm up, I intend to maybe attend some classes. I don't think there is anything around here in the local area, but i have a friend in utah that is active and could introduce me to those types of events.

I am also shy about large groups, if there was a smaller group or event around eastern Idaho, that would be a better match for me to actually go.

Where can I find info on munches and if there are any local?

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Hello to all. (9/17/2010 3:15:35 PM)

You just have to google munches or BDSM events and or demos for whatever area you want.  There should be plenty of info that comes up letting you know what's going to be going on in those areas.  Hope that helps.

lol yeah didn't find much, I am thinking of relocating anyways. I may have found one site but it looks like there has not been any activity. 4 hour drive in almost any direction seems to produce results though, I just ended up in on of the more remote locations. Its quiet here lol but maybe too quiet. Thanks for the info.

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Hello to all. (9/17/2010 5:38:00 PM)

I know about it being too quiet where you live, I'm in the same boat.  Small town and I live about 10 miles outside it in the boonies.  It's pretty, and it's countryside, and living on a property that is 6 1/2 acres with 3 ponds is great.  Although I could do without the spate of shotgun fire lately, especially at 5 or 6 am.  Must be duck season.  Rabbit season, duck season, rabbit season, DUCK SEASON.  SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  [:D][:D]

SthrnCom4t -> RE: Hello to all. (9/17/2010 5:45:47 PM)

Welcome and congrats on following your soul's desires. I've found amazing and remarkably spiritual people in the kink, poly, and trans communities. When I was single, meeting people online, and then traveling to meet them was great fun. Sometimes I'd travel to a munch or class....sometimes to a conference. Sometimes to just hang out, and several times to meet potential romantic/power exchange partners.

Just about any month of the year, you can find a BDSM conference happening SOMEWHERE.

Also, if you haven't already found www.Fetlife.com, that's another good, free site for social networking and finding valuable resources.

Lol what a nice morning tweet tweet, Bang Bang Bang.

I eventually will settle down in a more remote area, I absolutely love not having neighbors. Being able to walk out my door and see trees and hear the water flow from a close by stream. Somewhere where i can drive to a local beach that isn't more then 2-3 hours away. I don't see that in my near future just yet though. Wouldn't be completely happy if i did it alone either.

Thank you sthrncom4t, that is reassuring and hopefully i will gather the gumption to get out and attend events. Would be good for me. Also thanks for the site, I will check it out.

As much as I would love to have everything resolved now and be at home with a kinky partner (and maybe pet or 2 :P) out in the woods living it up. I am also patient and know that good things come with time and a open mind. Part of that process is learning and going through the steps to get there, thats where i feel i'm at now, is slowly progressing towards those goals. Its good to see others that have gone down that road and have found what they are looking for.

I keep telling myself i'm not cursed lol, I just have more to learn to be ready for what is to come.

Thanks again.
