I am NOT an Obamafan. Didn't vote for him, not likely to. He reminds Me of a woman I used to know who worked for a Chamber of Commerce. She was all about "community development". Which, in truth, meant travel. Travel to meeting after meeting and conference after conference, venue after venue, resort after resort, after which she would return time and time again to the Boardroom with her reports of how successfully she had promoted our small community across the State or across the Nation. Her short tenure came to an abrupt halt when she had obliterated all of the organization's funds: there were no longer any receivables left for her traveling lifestyle. Someone's gotta pay those bills. I can't wait to see the budget reports for Obama's day trips. However, despite Obama's lack of Statesmanship, Obama's quote that you are so profoundly misinterpreting refers to a Republican demagoguery that would have us return to an era where deregulated banks can once again ran amok unchecked across the backs of the American Populace. That is the 'clock' he is speaking of. It took political courage to take on the banks. Might have been political suicide. We don't know yet. Face it. Obama got some things right. Where the black populace potentially fails to rally, I have zero doubt the great silent majority will willingly amass, instead. Believe it or not, the American Public can, and will, evaluate, analyze, and eventually choose the best potential person for the job, regardless of whether you or I may agree with their choice at the time. One thing I DO know in the upcoming elections: "I don't want no Paper Gangsta", I don't give a damn what color he is, or isn't. No Wallstreet Financiers, no Bank Moguls, I don't want the banks or bankers to rule our country as they have since the banks were deregulated. I want it the other way around. If that means rallying behind Obama, I just might have to 'go there'. You'll find there are many more like me out here in cyberspace than you might guess. And, you are completely ignoring the motivational force behind our first black female president, Oprah, and her minions.......they will single handedly re-elect him. Time to wake up and smell the coffee, Sanity. TM
